I have never had a bad experience at Champion's. They offer complete hair services from cuts to dyes and perms. They are fairly expensive but you get what you pay for. Wonderful receptionist and very friendly stylists that make you feel right at home. Very hip and modern surroundings.

Pepperland has a broad range of merchandise. Great place to purchase used cd's and movies. They also offer guitar lessons and sell sheet music. The staff will answer questions readily but does not go out of their way to help. Reasonably priced, Pepperland has a very large variety of Beatles merchandise and tshirts.

Bookman has a medium variety of used books and magazines. They do not carry cd's or movies but if you know what book you are looking for you are bound to pay approximately half of the cover price....
Bookman has a medium variety of used books and magazines. They do not carry cd's or movies but if you know what book you are looking for you are bound to pay approximately half of the cover price. The staff is very willing to look up in their computer database to see if they have a book in stock but the variety is lacking compared to other used bookstores.

Book Baron has the widest selection of used books and magazines in Southern California. They also sell CD's and movies. They have a very knowledgable and attentive staff that are willing to help you search the shelves for anything. Most paperback prices are half off the cover price. Location is slightly out of the way and not in the best of neighborhoods.
