I was slightly disappointed with this museum. I had heard a lot of great things about it but I found it lacking. My recommendation to make this visit worth-while is to read up on the museum and the history before you go. I found that I didn’t enjoy myself because I didn’t know what anything was about. It would help if they gave you a booklet of what everything is and why it is important. It is an extremely beautiful place though, and if you enjoy beautiful gardens you shouldn’t miss it.

There are also many still images of weird things like, a bullet going through an apple, or a football being kicked. It’s very very interesting and worth the trip to Cambridge. Also, it’s in a great location near Kendall Square (and many others also.)

This is a great place to go if you are any age! Your kids will love it and you will find some of things very interesting. One of my favorite things to do in September/October is take my college ID over there and get free admission on college night. Tip for college students: go on this night and you can get free admission to IMAX movies, laser shows, and so so much more! My favorite thing to do while there is the lightning show and the optical illusions exhibit. (Be sure to check out the dolphins painting!)

Northeastern is renowned for its co-op program above all else. It is such a great program, that graduates for a full 1.5 years experience upon graduating from the University. In terms of activities and facilities on campus, NEU has more than you could ever want in terms of gyms, places to eat, places to study, and things to do. Their student activities budget is enormous, which makes it easy for them to bring big name concerts/lecturers/comedians and many other activities to campus.

I am entering my 2nd year at Wentworth and I am extremely satisfied with my decision to attend. If you are interested in an engineering or design program, this is the place for you. It is a small campus (about 3,000) in a great spot in Boston. There are plenty of other schools around also, so there is never a shortage of us college students. The Institute is extremely concerned with their students and the community which makes up Wentworth. WIT also has a wonderful co-op program for all majors so you can get real-world experience before you graduate. Great school, I would recommend to anyone!

I’ve seen a couple shows here and I have not been at all disappointed. The atmosphere of the place is wonderful and the wait staff is great also. There isn’t really any seat in the place that is “bad.” I called 2 weeks ahead of time for tickets and we ended up sitting 4 feet from the stage, so call ahead if you can. The tickets can be a little pricey, but it’s worth it if you are going to see someone you like. It is located on an upper floor at Faneuil Hall, so it is in a great location also.

If you have exhausted your options, or if you are just tired of the city and want to get away for a day (or more) this is the place for you. Boston Harbor Cruises brings you right out to Georges Island where an old Military Fort is located. This is a fast and fairly cheap way to get away for a day and have a picnic or just walk around the fort and take in some history. Be careful of the prices of the concessions there, they can be pricey. Bring plenty of water also. Don’t expect sandy beaches and ocean swimming, but do expect a relaxing and fun afternoon with a great view of the Boston skyline.

I went for a weekend with my family and camped out in tents and we had a great time, despite the rain on Saturday. They offer 3 pools, 2 are in one place and include one adult and one child pool. They also have 2 children jacuzzis and 2 adult jacuzzis. They are very clean and well kept also. They also have a path that leads you directly to the beach. Depending on where you are in the campground (because it is quite big) it could be a bit of a walk, but it's definitely worth it. All of the people who were staying there also seemed very friendly.

This is a great place to bring any children who may have enjoyed Finding Nemo. This is a very “kid-friendly” place and I often see many smiling faces while visiting. The best part, in my opinion, is the exhibit where you are allowed to pick up and hold crabs, starfish, and other sea creatures. The gift shop can be very pricey, as can most tourist attractions such as these. Also, look online for a schedule of what is going on before hand so you can get the most out of your experience there. I strongly recommend the Sea Lion show.

I absolutely love spending time at the MFA! I strongly recommend you check out the impressionist room, as it is wonderfully done. The Egyptian exhibit can be extensive, but if you are interested, it is a great thing to have at your finger tips. It is a very accessible museum. You can take the green or orange line to it, and they also have their own parking on site. The special exhibits are usually quite good and are available for a long period of time. They sell out quick on weekends though, so reserve your tickets early. If you are a student, check to see if you can get free admission. Most of the area colleges get in free with their IDs.
