In fact, I'd rather you take your kids here than some nice brunch place on a Saturday morning. The Egg Platter is a great greasy spoon, just know that going in. The food is great and the service is ok. They're ALWAYS busy so it may take a couple of minutes to get your food, but it will be worth it when you get the bill and realize you can pay the whole thing with change from your car's ashtray.

I moved to the area a few months before making my way to The Oaks. Really, my dad was visiting from out of town and wanted to give it a try. We are so glad we did! the service was great, friendly, fast and fun. The food was awesome too, I got the half rack of ribs, and they were so good!
The architecture of the building is something to note if you're into that sort of thing. We mnust have spent at least 20 minutes just looking around the place at oall of the different old features. The place must have been built in the 40's...
Highly recommended!

This is a great place to come hang out with friends. They have a TON of beers, and a good wine list. The appetizers are great, but it's really the atmosphere. Definitely a young, yuppie, upscale kind of hangout. But it doesn't feel like a meat market, just a cool bar. Definitely a good singles scene though!

The wine list is generous, the bartenders "pour it like they don't own it" and the food is fantastic. You can't beat the prices for the quality you receive. The lobster ravioli is excellent!

They really are great steaks. But my favorite thing at Ruth Chris is this sweet potato mouse that they have as aside item. I have never tasted anything so wonderful in all of my life. It was amazing! But back to the steak, the food is comparable, some say better, than Bern's Steak House in South Tampa. I haven't been to Bern's but I can tell you that I have never had a better steak than at Ruth Chris.

But the menu is basically the same. They're trying to be a little more low key, but don't be fooled, ownership and management are still exactly the same. The food is excellent, but be prepared, this will NOT be a cheap date. If you want to drink wine with your meal, you'll need about $200 for two people. A couple of cocktails in the lounge while waiting for your table... and it adds up fast. Great for a special occasion, but not a random Saturday night.

If you are someone who overeats at a buffet, then this might not be the place for you. They have everything. Absolutely everything. It's bigger than my house and there's more food than I could eat in a year. And it's all good. There is literally something for everyone, and you can't beat the pricing.
Come hungry.

The vindaloo is a personal favorite and not to be missed. Also they have a couple of good indian beers that everyone should try at least once!
