Just order the Croque Monsieur and you will be so happy (if you like cheese that is) that you wont care that you paid 9 bucks for a sandwich. It is so very good. So very cheesy. So very French.
The staff is lovely, friendly, welcoming. They have a great little back patio for sunny days. The cheese and charcuterie platters are a delight.
And, this is a considerate touch i think worth mentioning, they serve simple syrup with their iced tea. Now that is care for their patron.

Not only is the sushi mediocre but the wait even for take out is ridiculous. Even if you call in your order it can take an hour before it's ready for pickup.
In an hour you could cross the bridge and have fantastic sushi from any number of great places in San Francisco.

John Frick at Frick Floors is a dream contractor. Aside from the fact that he does beautiful work installing vinyl tile, prefinished hardwood, and sheet vinyl flooring, he is a joy to work with. He's responsive. He arrives and works when he says he will. He gives expert advice and recommendations. He is absolutely the best contractor of any kind i've ever worked with.
He works all over the East Bay.

Ben & Nick's is a Rockridge staple. It's a on a lovely, walkable commercial strip and really does the job when you feel a need for a pint. The beer selection is fairly unique though it's been awhile since i've seen my beloved Chocolate Stout on the blackboard. The food is pub grub and nothing fancy. The only down-side is that the service frequently sucks. The staff are all very hip young people which can translate into a lack of concern for just how parched you might be.
