I've been to several nail salons around the area to check out the prices, quality & atmosphere because I love to be pampered if only for an hour.
We were quickly greeted upon entering the nail salon & asked to pick out our color(s). We were asked to go sit in a spa chair for pedicures. My daughter wanted to have her "toes painted" & I wanted a full pedicure.
We waited for nearly 10 minutes before my chair's foot bath was filled. The lady came up & said hi, but nothing else the entire time. My daughter was then asked to sit in another chair to have her toes done.
When it came time to my favorite part, massaging my legs & feet, the lady skipped it almost completely. She rubbed up & down my legs & was finished. That was almost 2 minutes long.
I enjoy pedicures & would like to be spoken to once & awhile. I also prefer salons where the staff speaks only English while around customers. It makes me feel as if they're talking about their customers while we're sitting right there.
One major negative was a lady brought in her DOG! in a baby stroller w/ mosquito netting zipped up. I was shocked that a business like this would allow a dog in there & the nerve of the lady that brought her dog in there. It was ridiculous!
The overall quality of my pedicure was average. My paint job was done nice, but that's all I can say about it. My daughter's toes look great & had little flowers painted on them. Very cute!!

We went for the first time this weekend to the Macaroni Grill on Dallas Hwy in Marietta. We were promptly greeted as soon as we walked in the door at 6:45 pm.
We were then seated within 3 minutes. Our server did her job, but without any Enthusiasm. She quickly blurted out her name as she was writing it on the paper table covering. I explained that this was our first visit to the restaurant. She asked us what we would like to drink & turned quickly to walk away. She returned a few minutes later with our drinks, bread & set up the olive oil w/ ground pepper dip.
Our drinks were always refilled quickly (diet coke & sweet tea). Our salads arrived and although they were supposed to be the same type of salad; they were completely opposite in looks & quality. My house salad was full of the end of the head of lettuce pieces. After removing them, I only had 1/2 of a salad left. That half was drenched in dressing that I had requested to be "on the side". My husband's salad looked & tasted great except the dressing that was drowning out the bottom of the salad bowl.
Our dinners arrived looking delicious! I only wish they tasted as good as they looked. The Fettuccine Alfredo was beyond bland. It lacked seasoning completely & for an "Italian" restaurant, it was shameful. The Marcela Chicken Ravioli smelled, good, tasted pretty good, but was drowned in it's own sauce. I scraped most of the sauce off in attempt to enjoy the flavor of the chicken, asparagus, bacon & mushrooms.
Overall, nice atmosphere, average to poor attitude of server & her service and average to poor food. I'm not sure if we'll return again.

Lots of good food, wide varieties of sauce flavors...from hot to mild. Buffalo Wild Wings is known for their great wings! (duh!)
Many different specials offered throughout the week. Wednesdays are 99 cent Kids' Night.
Thursdays are 50 cent boneless wings night.
TV screens are everywhere! You can't help but keep up on sports or current events. They offer great trivia games that is played on some of the TVs. You play for free & anyone in the restaurant can play. Lots of different subjects & many levels of fun.
Start off with the Sampler Platter if you have a group with you...or you better be very hungry! It's all good.
Next, try their delicious Grilled Blackened Chicken Salad or their wings. The wings are the signature of the place...so many sauces, so many ways to enjoy them...and so little time to enjoy them all at once.
You can even request the wing sauce on the side to try the other flavors!
Wraps, burgers, ribs, sandwiches & their buffalitos are great too! The blackened seasoning adds some great kick to any dish you're interested in "kicking it up a notch!"
One more thing...whenever we've dined, we almost never see the bottom of our Coca-Cola glasses. The servers are top-notch!

This delightful treasure of a bakery & café is located right in the heart of Marietta Square. I was invited by a friend to join her for a late breakfast. Open the door & you're greeted by an Australian "G'Day Mate" or old fashioned "Hey ya'll!".
The menu is up on the wall behind the main counter to take a gander over while trying to decide exactly what you're hungry for (hint: everything!). There are plenty of traditional "____ pies" (insert meat, egg, cheese, whatever you like) available & made fresh daily. For those who have NEVER seen one, it looks a bit like a Pizza Hut pizza's 4 in 1 pizza. (I'm sure Pizza Hut took the idea! LOL).
Pick from some of the most delicious Aussie pies or other delightful desserts, pastries or lunch specials. I've been told that Vegemite is an "acquired" taste & am too chicken to try it. I enjoyed a delicious egg, mushroom, ham & onion Aussie pie. The server asked if I'd like some extra fresh cheese on mine; it tasted fantastic!
While you're eating, enjoy the Australian theme decor. It's fun to look at all of the Aussie artwork, photos & knick-knacks.
Kids are welcome too!
I'll be back to try the many different menu items like the "Croc Hunter's Special" & an Outback Pepper jack Chicken pie.
If you go to their web page, look for the Kids' Korner. Print out one of the Australian animal coloring pages & have your child color it. Visit the Australian Bakery Cafe & show them the artwork. They'll give your child a free Aussie Cookie.

I've enjoyed taking my children to KK for photos for the past 3 years. I discovered them after picking up my daughter's photos from Olan Mills. Boy was I so thrilled w/ KK's staff & the photos. I was NOT happy w/ Olan Mills' quality or the way the photos turned out.
Kiddie Kandids offers many different backgrounds, many props & a friendly staff. The great part is seeing the photos right after the session is over AND receiving them within an hour.
After your session, you can log-on at home & see all of the photos again if you'd like to order some other goodies for family or friends.

"...these are a few of my favorite things...." I could sing that as I enter a Yankee Candle Company Store or shop online.
The YCC offers hands on & getting your smell on as you sniff your way through their store. There are so many flavors and moods that are in their candles. You can pick from tea lights, votives, and then the fun begins with the larger sized candles. In the fall and winter, I enjoy more spice & food-smelling candles to place throughout the home. It creates a warm & cozy feel. Spiced Pumpkin, Christmas Eve and Christmas Wreath are a few of my favorites.
If you're lucky enough to talk to one of the candle experts working in the store; you'll get all sorts of ideas and suggestions to enhance the setting, desired mood, and taking care of your YCC candles.
Go online to view their virtual catalog for more selections and some additional sales that might not always be offered in stores. The only "down side" to shopping online is that you don't get to smell the candles! But even YCC has attempted to conquer that...they offer SCRATCH & SNIFF catalogs! Oh yes my scent-searching friends; request a catalog to be sent to your home and you too can enjoy the fun of scratch & sniff!
Check here at Judy's Deals for the most up to date sales &/or shipping deals with the Yankee Candle Company.
