This company was hired to cater my wedding, and it was a huge disappointment overall. The food was different from the tasting, and not everything was served. There was also poor communication, it was difficult to get questions answered. The owner refused to discuss any of the problems, and returned my mail asking for an explanation. Went to the BBB, and Coup de Gras dropped out of the BBB when the complaint was filed. Look at Cook County Court records, you will see how often this company has been sued. The owner is a great salesman, but did not deliver as promised.

I was very excited when Opera came to the neighborhood. I really like the way the restaurant is decorated, and the private vaults are a fun idea. I have been there twice. The first time both the food and service were excellent. We brought another couple the next time and the food was average, the service was below average. For the price you pay, I expect above average food and service every time.

Irazu has been one of my favorite restaurants in the city since the first time I've been there. The prices are extremely reasonable, and it's BYOB which is always nice. Try the traditional Costa Rican meals, such as gallo pinto with eggs and plantains. Their sandwiches and burritos are extremely good as well. They also have great fruit shakes, and their oatmal shake is a specialty. Casual, pretty small place, it's usualy busy. Cash only.
