but they may not wow you either. I've gone to Salon Blonde for a few years, sometimes my haircuts were great, other times okay. For the price -about $75- I need more consistency. I wasn't overly impressed with the highlights either. They had a great woman doing eyebrows, and her replacement just isn't the same. But if you want to be safe, it won't hurt (besides your pocketbook) to go here.

I have been to this italian restaurant a few times over the past six years and still am not impressed. However, they seem pretty busy, so others may enjoy it. I find the food to be average, and not worth the price. Sometimes I found it hard to find something on the menu that sounded great. The service and atmosphere has never been very welcoming. With so many great italian restuarants in the city, I would go someplace else.

Even if you are not a fish owner, walking through this store is a treat. The tanks are extremely clean and there is always a wide variety of fish and accessories. The staff is quite helpful and knowledgeable about anything tank-related. Prices may be a bit more than average, but the knowledge you gain there will help your tanks last longer.

Good coffee as well. There are not too many tables, and word has gotten out, so it can get extremely crowded on the weekends.

I did a lot of research before going ahead with lasik eye surgery three years ago, and had consultations with a few doctors in the area. I decided to go with Dr. Kraff and have no regrets. I feel they were very upfront about everything, and were happy to answer any questions. He has more experience than most doctors performing this surgery. Dr. Kraff is known by sports teams and media outlets in the city because of his research and work. I was impressed that he called the evening after my surgery to make sure everything was well, and I had a number of follow up visits included. His price was above average, but this is not somthing you want to be cheap about.

In the past I have been very frustrated with doctors' offices. It seemed as though I am bothing them when I want an appointment, and they did not think twice about making me wait two hours past my appointment time. I have been extremely happy with Northwestern Internists, and other people who have gone there have been pleased as well. They make more of an effort to get you in and out in an efficient manner, and the doctors and nurses are attentive. I now always check to see if they are included in my medical plan.

It is Latin American fare, and offers everything from traditional fajatas to a variety of seafood dishes. Be prepared to wait awhile for your food though, since the chef makes everything from scratch. He also makes it a point to visit with the patrons of the restaurant. Service can vary. Friends have always been impressed when I have brought them there. It is also BYOB. Prices are about $15-20 for an entree.

I've found it difficult to find a reasonable hair salon in the city, with cuts at least $50 and highlights much more. This salon is actually for the students of Aveda beauty school to get experience. All of thier work is supervised by an instructor. They also offer spa services. A haircut is about $13. Be prepared to spend more time in the chair, since the stylist new and a bit slower. Also you will be more successful if you know what you want, rather than relying on the stylist to decide. Also, the hours of the salon are much better than many other beauty schools that offer services.

There is a great selection of 8.5x11" colored papers, cardstock, and matching envelopes, and a large selection of handmade papers. The staff has always been extremely helpful as well and will go out of the way to get what you need. They also offer a wide variety of classes. Some of the items are somewhat pricey though.

They carry a huge selection of papers from all of the major paper mills, and often have prices better than what I can get wholesale. The customer service has always been very helpful as well. They carry other office supplies as well, although those prices seem more mainstream. If you need paper, this is the place to go. Sign up for their mailing list and you will get a coupon about once a month.
