I never trusted anyone to highlight or color my hair before I met Liz and have followed her to various salons for years. Over the years, I have had many compliments on the natural and vibrant highlights and tones (I have chestnut brown hair). I just got a semi-permanent and it is just fantastic. Highly recommended.

This is the cafre for the ultra coffee lover - this is a serious bean that's been roasted on the premesis with a smell that wakes people 4 or 5 blocks away. This is the real deal folks. You will never taste coffee in the same way again. Take it with a bagel chaser - they offer a nice array of muffins and good eats. Great old school atmosphere.

I have really enjoyed having a whole foods so close by as it is a great resouce for high quality vegetables and fruits as well as excellent buchers who are always helpful - and will answer any questions you have. The take out food is also delicious, but I try to avoid sushi after 6 pm as it gets really dry.

This is the kind of place that people take their 16 daugher for her birthday - and I think several parties were going on the night I was there. If you have a party under 15, skip it. Basic fare - the pasta is decent.

I recommend going to Basil with a few friends who you want to catch up with as it is relatively quiet place to enjoy the food and chat. All the dishes are good - I haven't had a bad meal here. Parking is usually very easy too.

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is quite tasty, but the portions are meager (our $12 melon and prosciutto appetizer came with 3 bites). We spent $100 without wine and left hungry. This is a good place to go on an expense account; in fact most of the people there seem to be on business. It has a somewhat stuffy atmosphere although the new decor is beautiful.
