I imagine theyy heard about pearl harbour being bombed right in this store as students from UCSF were buying art supplies. What do you thinkt hey looked liked? Well, I know the store has not changed since then! And thee prices, well they have changed! Not the cheapest...but where else areyou going to buy arr supplies such as markers, pens, pencils?
I highly reccomend this place!!
So go off and fidn it, 8th and irving!

Ok, so that's what brought me here originally...the old story that Robin Williams rides his bike to this place! ha! Well i think he lives in Napa now so I doubt he does much!

But this store is very san francisco, stuck in a new san francisco location (new chinatown!). It's great for used books and has some new ones also...but the charm is int he age. You can tell it must be 50 yrs old and was really a place for the 60's kids to hang out...in fact they still do! Most in there are in their 50's with long hair! haha funny, but a great cute place!
I love the maps and the upstairs also!

Great tasting Chinese food (Not cantonese) in the Richmond!
If you ever visited Taiwan Point in the sunset (it's closed now! :( then you will like this place...almost the same menu! Very new...

If you ever visited Taiwan Point in the sunset (it's closed now! :( then you will like this place...almost the same menu! Very new and modern inside. Must have spent a fortune on the interior!
The food is very authentic and wonderful. Not too spicy, but very authentic.
Tip: If you are vegetarian, don't just order eggplant off the main dish side. Head for the vegetable/vegetarian dishes...eggplant is listed 3 times and one comes with pork! Little did I know. No worries, it was still wonderful!
The service is VERY friendly and nice!
Prices range from $6-$10 per plate. Very reasonable. Enjoy!

This is a very trendy hair salon in the union square area of san francisco! It is on the second floor of a building that has a store on the 1st floor. They have different prices for the level of stylist you want! Serious! So I got the new girl and guess what, I was the only guy in there and she thought "Ahh he won't care" so she gave me this terrible cut! I was shocked...no good service either, seemed very rushed as there were 50 people in there. No thanks!

You will never ever be unhappy that you took this advice...in fact a you will thank me!! Trust me on that!

i saw Travis play here and it was great! They even played one acoustic song, to hear what the theater originally sounded like before ampps...wow, so cool...really it was the best concert I have...

Travis is a scottish brit pop band, with great lyrics! 2 anti-war/peace songs on the last cd! Really gotta appreciate that! The warfield is on market street, and is a great place! Check it out!

This book store has a great combination of old and new books! The front is just for the newest books...and they keep a large selection of local writers. Also plenty of political books. The back...

The back has many old books from fiction and non fiction! I have bought, well may 10 books so far! They stay open late, are friendly and I am always happy to help them stay in business!

Can't find many hardware stores ina downtown setting, but this one is and has been there for years! They have had so many offers to buy the store so it could be demolished and turned into business...

They have had so many offers to buy the store so it could be demolished and turned into business X, but they have stayed true and stuck with it! Good for them! They offer everything any hardware store might have, minus lumber and what not...very good service and never have to wait!
