Wave is a very chic restaurant in the W hotel Chicago. The decor is very contemporary and a number of tables offer the lake view.
Most of the crowd is actually staying at the hotel but still it is a pretty lively place.
The food is small portions. Pretty much a tapas version of middle eastern food. I highly recommend the watermelon salad and kabob's. The duck dish, though highly recommend is at best ok.
Also worth trying is the saganaki. Don't expect the burning piece cheese served as in Greek restaurant. But still I highly recommend it.
We also ordered the baby lamb chops, but were disappointed as they were a little overcooked. Just a tip order most of the meats, just medium cooked.

Though the location might deceive you, the restaurant has great prices, with entrées starting from $7. The food is great. I highly recommend their green curry beef. Ask for outside seating in summer time, as you get to enjoy the area and also the good weather. Some of the dishes can get spicy, so make sure to ask the waiter if cannot handle spicy food. Another item on the menu worth mentioning is the crab rangoons. They are an appetizer item but one of the best in Chicago.

This is a great place for greek food. It was our first time to a greek place and just went in where we saw the most number of people. Inside the resturant has a very authentic greek ambiance. It almost feels like you are in a greek island. The food again is great too. We tried the saganaki and loved it. The presentation is great. Every two minutes someone is getting their saganaki and there is "opa" sound as it is presented. This is a good place for a weekend lunch or evening dinner. It is in the busy greek town area. Valet parking is available though it is not that tough to find street parking.

Overall, the restaurant and atmosphere were very nice. We went on a Sunday evening and there were only a few other tables. Having never eaten Ethiopian food we asked the host/waiter to recommend two of his favorite dishes. We were pleased with our food (a chicken and beef dish), but expected a little more spice (we asked for the spiciest dishes). The restaurant specially prepared our food without the butter - instead they cooked everything in olive oil to make it a little healthier. Nice traditional atmosphere, good food, friendly staff.

It is a great place to eat and to grab something to eat. I personally love their meat loaf sandwich. It you are not a big fan of meatloaf, then try their mini burgers. You will totally forget White Castle, once you have tried these. The portions can be huge, so there is always a dogie bag left to take food home.

Tiffin is one of the best restaurants on devon ave. It offers not only great food but also great ambiance, which is not met by any other Indian restaurant on Devon. The offer lunch buffet which is pretty elaborate with a great menu. There a a lot of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes available. Tiffin is also great for dinners. You can order most of the items offered in the lunch buffet plus more. My favorite is their lamb achari. It is a combination of pickle masala and lamb. I also recommend their tandoori roti against the usual naan. Also worth trying are their gulab jamuns.

If you are ever in the mood for good south indian food, stop by at udupi palace. They offer all the major south indian dished, atleast the ones that I know off. They do offer north indian dishes on the menu, but I usually stick to the south indian dishes. Except for the chole bhatura I havent tried any of the north indian dishes here.
I usually start off with the medhu vada and move on to one of the dosas or uthappams. The food is very good and consistent. The service to is very prompt and effective. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good south indian food.

Amrit ganga offers great Indian snacks. You can get anything from pani puri, to pau bhaji to mithai. The order taking process in not so smooth. But once you have placed your order and paid for it, you are all set to go. Just make sure to grab a table while you wait, as this place can get crowded and it can be a challenging task to find a table. The orders come up pretty quick, and your order number is announced. Just keep an ear out for it in this place bubbling with life.

Dragonfly offers great ambience and great food. The service is great and the staff very courteous. The food is not as great, but the presentation makes up for it. I have been to the place multiple times. If you use one of the "buy one entree get one free" coupons, this place can be a bargain. I used to get a lot of these coupons in the mail. Haven't seen them in a while but that won't stop me from visitng them again. They used to be in a nicer location in Gold coast. But for some reason they have moved to Randolph street.

I havent tried their VHS so can't comment on them. They also have a a good collection of freshly prepared items. One that I will highly recommend, would be their methi paranthas. Also worth trying are the samosas.
The owner is usually there himself and the store is very well managed. He is very friendly and courteous and good at remember his repeat customers.
