Mellow Mushroom is my favorite pizza restaurant in the Chattanooga area. It is housed in the historic original Coca-Cola Bottling plant, and has Coke memorabilia on display. It also features whimsical murals with an Alice is Wonderland theme.
Mellow Mushroom is a family oriented restaurant that offer salads, sub sandwiches, and calzone, in addition to gourmet pizzas. My personal favorite is the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. They also have a great selection of beers.
The prices range from around $4.99 to $15.99. The restaurant also offers a great combination of pizza and a movie for $25.00 at the Bijou theater next door.
It's a good idea to arrive early, especially during special events, since this restaurant can get busy very fast. The service, is quick and friendly if you can beat the crowds.
Conveniently located downtown, a short stroll from the Tennessee Aquarium, Mellow Mushroom is a great place for tourist to visit. It has a fun, festive, family atmosphere and great food!
