I take my dog to Metro Dog once or twice a week. He loves it. Basically, it's a big warehouse with some couches and easy outdoor access. In the summer, the front doors are rolled up but during these wet, rainy times, they are closed.
I like it because the same people are there on a consistent basis (which tells me they don't have a high employee turnover rate) and they know my dog when he comes in the door. Also, whenever, I drop him off or pick him up, there is always at least one or two employees actually in with the dogs.
The only negative comment I would have to make is that when I pick him up, he is often wet because he's been outside alot. I'm glad to know he's out, but if they would towel him off when I pick him up, that would be great.

Bikini waxes. Never really a truly enjoyable experience, but for some of us, it's something that must be done.
In honor of my upcoming trip to Mexico, I made the trek to The Sweet Spot for an extended bikini wax, which is not quite as extreme as a Brazilian but good enough for a bathing suit.
The Sweet Spot doesn't use the typical wax and rip technique that I've become accustomed to. They are actually the first professional body sugaring service in Seattle. "Sugaring" involves the use of a very pliable warm substance that is massaged into the skin and then quickly pulled off. Although a little painful, it's not nearly as tear-inducing as some of the other waxes I've had. The results? No bumps, slight redness that went away within 8-10 hours and hair that took much longer to grow back.
Well worth the time and money!

Located in the heart of Ballard, Tart is a chic little studio that I will definitely visit again. Upon arrival, my coat was taken and hung for me, I was offered a beverage and given the latest magazines to browse through.
Jamie, who is the owner of the studio, asked me a few questions about what I wanted and then got to work. I loved the hair color she chose as well as all the products she used. She trimmed my hair and then styled it in a way that was new for me - more trendy and up-to-date. I really enjoyed it! Then, I got my make-up done by Sugar, the resident cosmetics guru. It was a fun experience - all for $65! Granted, this is a special offer they are running, but even at full price, the service is worth the price. Make-up application is included with any service over $30. What a nice touch in today's world. And never once did anyone try to oversell any products. Most importantly, Tart made me feel pampered in a low-key, friendly atmosphere. Wonderful!
