I usually fill a big ole stainless steal bowl with various kinds of the "good candy" and hope no one comes by. JUST KIDDING. There was one year though in the past when I gave out raisins but I stopped that when so many of the little ones said, "Oh yuk! Raisins." I figured after that, it's only one time of year and if they were out trick or treating, their parents obviously knew where they were and I'm sure the kids "expected" to get candy and their parents probably went through their bags like I went through our daughters. Our daughter never liked eating the candy, she just liked "getting it" and she'd eat a piece or two every now and then. When she got married, her husband worked part time filling those vending machines with toys so they always had a bunch of those little toys around. They gave out those toys at their door. Kids LOVED getting toys. They especially loved Yo-Yo's and Slime, like those little plastic balls with slime inside. They were a BIG hit. Girls loved stickers and plastic rings/jewelry which you can get at the Family Dollar Store.
