A church run thrift store, meaning the people working there are volunteers, so they probably won't be much help if you're looking for something specific. It's flat pricing, all shirts are this much, all dresses are that much, unless otherwise marked. They do have some decent housewares, good selection of paperback novels and kid's toys that aren't filthy or chewed on, but the clothing selection isn't all too great, they do have a few racks of what looked like decent plus-size womens wear, but I'm not a plus size so I just glanced. Good deals on lamps and wall art though.

They have a very good selection of pre-owned items, bric-a-brack, costume jewelry, housewares, kitchen items, some clothing (not very much), curtains, craft supplies, toys, hats, handbags, baskets, books and so on. There's usually some sort of sale going on, it changes periodically. The store itself is on the smaller side as far as resale shops go, but I've never seen quite as much good, wearable costume jewelry in any other resale.

They offer cosmic bowling as well as traditional bowling. Not sure how it goes through the week, but weekend evenings it's $8 per person cover, $2.50 shoe rental and all the bowling you can handle, probably best to call for hours. Reasonable drink prices, well kept, clean place, nice bowling alley. The place is huge. They also offer leagues, birthday parties, bumper bowling and have raffles occaisionally.

The vintage mechanical coin-ops on display are fascinating, the modern games are fun too, it's a good way to keep kids or fun loving adults amused for an hour or two. Good pinball machines, they've got the ones with all the bells and whistles, quite literally. Even if you're not into video games, their older machines are quite interesting, and they're crammed into every spare inch of the place.

It's a laid back family restaurant, not a place for a fancy night out on the town, but to get your belly full it works quite nicely. Their soup bar is included with entrรฉes at lunch and dinner, haven't had a bad bowl of soup there yet and I've been going there for years. They're good for breakfast too, and the wait staff are always quite nice. There are other locations in the metro-Detroit area, but if it says Leon's on the sign there's good food inside. They also have no-sugar added pie, and it's good.

The best thrift in the area if you're looking for casual wear! Their jeans are all in greeat condition, no sifting through a dozen pairs of worn out old acid-wash to get to one pair of decent jeans, they're all decent ones. The whole store is well-kept, great selection of stuff in very good condition for being used, most things don't look pre-owned so no one will know unless you tell them. Not much vintage, but there's not much junk either, they only put out the good useable stuff it seems.

I went there once, the sales girls are snobby, the clothes are overpriced for being used clothes, and my god those sales girls are just horrible people. Sure, it's all pre-sorted out and it's the fancy big name labels, but they sell those at the salvation army too, and don't give you that much attitude about it. Go to Value World, they all have racks where the better items go, there's usually at least 2 racks of 'better' ladies jeans, usually about $4 a pair. Don't go to Plato's Closet unless you like being sneered at by bitchy sales girls and paying too much for things.

Very informed staff, and the store has EVERYTHING, even things that you didn't know existed. Myself, I'm not all that handy, but all the contractors and builders I've told about Dukes have thanked me for it repeatedly. The store has that weird little doohickey you've driven yourself crazy, and all over town trying to find, and they know right where it is too. They make keys, sell any sort of home repair or building supply you could ever need, including things for repairing older homes, those bits and pieces that aren't in newer houses and that the guy at the big chain store says doesn't exist. Duke's has it.

They offer a wide variety of books, any type of fiction, any subject of non-fic, even kid's books, which all seemed to be in great condition. If you take books into the store, you can pay for 50% of your purchases with store credit, and they give a very fair value for the store credit trade-ins. It is dusty, and can be overwhelming with the massive amount of books they stock, but it's well worth a few sneezes and the time it takes to browse through.

My entire family goes there in the spring to get their flowers, a very good nursery. Great prices on quality produce, we buy massive amounts and share with everyone we know, it's that good of a deal on delicious fruits and veggies. They carry some baked goods and snack foods as well, but the emphasis is on fresh produce, giant carts of farm-fresh corn much better than you'd get at the grocery store, and cheaper too! Be prepared for a crowd if you go later in the day or on the weekends, but it's worth it.
