I just like the feeling of this bank. They have a financial investment section and they'll meet with you, if they can, even if you walk in without an appointment. No pushiness to invest and they'll help you budget, plan for retirement etc.
The bank side is easy to work with too. I often drive through the window and don't have deposit slips or my account number and they help me get through it all.
Of course my kids think we're at McDonald's and ask for a milkshake every time.

My son just joined the kindergarten class at Prince of Peace. He also goes to public kindergarten. (He said he wanted to be in school longer to see his friend, go figure). So far I am impressed with this school. They seem to focus on the alphabet and reading for most of the school hours there. There is play time too.
My only complaint is that the drop off time is inflexible. And since we have to drive him there (with a 2 1/2 year old, ouch) it can be difficult to get him there exactly on time. They don't have another room where you could have early drop off and later pick up.
If my attitude changes down the road I'll update this review, if it doesn't change then I'll leave it as is.

Forest Park Labradoodles was a great place to visit and choose our puppy. We actually got the last pick of a litter of 9 and Laura, the owner, kept telling us she felt he was the best pick and was surprised he was last picked. Well, I didn't believe her. I thought she was trying to get rid of him.
I was wrong. He is the best dog I have ever owned. He is very laid back, loyal, obedient, and especially lovable. He doesn't have accidents in the house. He can hold his bladder for at least 12 hours. He doesn't eat our furniture or walls but he loves stuffed animals. He does chew them and then he just sucks on them until he falls asleep. My kids were only 16 month and 3 when we got him.
I haven't heard that all doodles are mellow.I think it's because "Bear" was the dad and "Marshmallow" was the mom. It made for a great combination.
Laura has great records of her dogs breeding history. You get easy to read history's on them. Her dog are guaranteed. She ships them all over the USA. I know because I get referral calls. Her prices at the time were better than others as I think this was her first labradoodle litter. She's handling more now with goldendoodles included. Good luck!

Bellagios Pizza is a nice all around pizza place. We only pick up or have them deliver ($1) to our home. It is consistently good pizza and they are convenient too. A large is $16 and the second large is only $11. It works well when you have picky kids and they only eat pepperoni pizza.
Try the Very Veggie, Oasis and the Real Deal.

This is where we go every summer to pick Hood strawberries to make jam. They have all sorts of berries to pick yourself or you can order them picked for you and they'll have them ready when you need them fresh. It costs about double to have them picked for you and besides, the kids love eating the berries as we pick!
One thing I love about this place, well two things I love are the beautiful countryside and the fact that they give you a flier that tells you approximately when their berries will be ready for picking. They have 13 different kinds of berries and 13 different fruits and veges to pick as well.

If you've ever grown a Dahlia flower you know how addictive it can become to get more and more of them and in different colors, shapes and sizes. Swan Island Dahlia is huge and has about 1000 varieties to choose from.
If the tuber you purchase doesn't grow, you just call them and they will ship you a replacement the next year. They give you complete growing instructions but it does sometimes happen.
They also have a weekend or two when their dahlia farm is open and they have food and flowers everywhere. It's fun to take the kids and pick out what you want to purchase for next season simply by seeing it in bloom.
I met the original owner. He's an old farmer who loves his flowers and now loves growing lemons in his green house. He always wears striped overalls. You can't miss him. Now is kids are running the place.

Joe is an artist. He works with concrete and can make anything from kitchen countertops, outdoor garden art, indoor furniture, tables, etc.
I hired him because I liked the name of the company. I met the guy and liked him right away. He made a double sink counter for my kids bathroom and it was perfect. He gave me samples to review, measured the area and came back a couple of weeks later and installed it.
His prices are firm and he stands by his work. I will hire him again.

The furniture store is run by a couple. They have some samples of furniture but you usually just go through their catalogs and fabric samples to get what you want. I find their prices competitive and I find them very helpful.
I have ordered a computer armoir and two custom beds, (I chose the upholstery and steel color for each bed). I plan on ordering more as I need it since I haven't had any issues with them so far.
If you do order a few items at one time, dicker with them to throw in shipping ($60) for free. They don't come down on their prices at all: I've tried.

It's like family here. If you attend regularly then you get to know everyone and feel really welcome. Even if you're sporatic, they can accomodate you in many ways. They have lots of classes, personal training, weight room, cardio room, cycling room, jogging track, basketball and 6 squash courts. Don't forget the kids indoor instruction pool (85 degrees), the lap pool and the outdoor fun pool with a deli area to boot. Did I mention the Point Spa?
The day-care is great too. No TV's, videos, etc. Just games, toys, outdoor play, storytime and crafts.

Kid's Klubhouse is a drop in day care. I've used both locations and the kids really enjoy being there. They provide lunch for them if you want or you can pack a lunch. They change diapers every two hours. They have lots of videos to watch but also lots of toys to play with. It costs $5-6 per hour and you should call ahead to reserve a spot if you can. They are busy on holidays as working parents will put them there when they don't have a place for them and they have to work. There are two locations, one is near Washington Square and takes kids 6 weeks and up. The other is on NW Miller intersecting with Barnes Rd. and they take kids 6 months and older.
