I've always found a good selection of shoes, socks, underwear, etc. at JC Penney's. The shoe department is set up for self-browsing, but the staff is also very friendly about helping you find the right shoe and right size. I don't think they're on commission, which in my mind helps -- unless it's as a group. Often, I've had several staff members bring me selection.
I also like some of their clothing, jewelry, towels, bedding and rugs and I even got a lamp on sale for a good price.

This is the place to get your gold coins -- your choice by country of origin and they usually have a good supply on hand. Parking is easy. The staff is helpful and quick. You can also get your foriegn currency prior to a trip or exchange it back to US dollars. Not many places sell gold coins and in fact, they are one of the few places that track the current price for gold coins.

I like Sears paints -- especially the satin for interior. It has just a hint of gloss, spreads smoothly and looks really nice when finished drying. I also like their exterior paints. They also have all the decor bits, brushes, drop cloths, etc. you might need. They're always good for a free stir stick and can opener and shake well. The home appliance, tools, outdoor living sections are always a first stop when buying for my home because their prices are comparable and the quality good.

Furney's Nursery is where I go to find anything unusual, anything I want in quantity, or to find something that will fit a given spot. Plan to spend an hour browsing. They have good fall discount prices, always have whatever smells nice and is in bloom, has large containers of grasses, good selections of clematis, lots of ground cover. The staff is very helpful and will point out the locations of whatever you are looking for, or suggest a plant, or will let you look at a garden book to check area requirements.

Usually has a Monday special and twilight rates. The snack bar is good for a hot dog or candy bar and coke. The have a grass driving range. Play is usual fast at about 4 hours. Call ahead for tee times especially on weekend and show 15 minutes ahead or lose your place in the lineup.

She's performed three surgeries on me with no bad side effects. She's always thorough and her nurse's are very well trained and always return calls. Her new office in Auburn is near the hospital and is comfortable.

Bartell Drugs in Renton is my favorite place to find miscellaneous stuff -- vitamins, hair care, kid's games, holiday decorations, books, and photo batteries, watches, and water filters. They usually have a good special on some of their seasonal items. It's close to QFC so it makes an easy stop when the grocery doesn't have the item on hand. The staff is pretty quick at getting you checked out.
