Fred Meyer's Downtown Renton has good office supplies and other products. I often end up getting office supplies while shopping and they usually offer back to school and other seasonal specials. This Fred Meyer's has an interesting deli area, with big bins of fruit and vegetables. Often, when finding home supplies, if I can't find the item at one store, the other will have it in stock. Good bulk grocery prices and clean bathrooms, which I always appreciate. This store has a quick automated check out lane.

We recently shopped at Lowe's for blinds and found that they had a neat system in which you selected a blind style, they they cut them to size for your window right there in the store while you waited. The system was kind of clunky for the employees to use but we were able to buy one for a small window and walk out within about 1/2 an hour. We typically buy home improvement items like DeWalt tools, closet poles and wooden brackets and wood and garden supplies. They have an employee at the door who will point you in the right direction and most will also help your find the item you want. Check out is usually pretty quick.

Bed, Bath & Beyond is filled with bathroom stuff I never knew I might want. We went in search of a shower pole with 4-5 baskets that would fit in the corner of our bathroom. Our experience has show the stick-em-up shelving doesn't last long on cultured marble or tile. Because we were looking for a tiled bathroom, we didn't want anything you needed to screw in. We entered the store, immediately ran into a store employee and asked where do you find one. The young lady escorted us the proper section, showed us the main differences and within minutes we were headed to the cash register having found what we wanted. Here, we were second in line, when asked to go to a far corner cash register and ended up waiting a long time. Oh well, luck of the draw. Anyway, we were happy for the most part with the experience and now know where to find 10 different kinds of wastebaskets and hundreds of other offerings.

We needed to replace our roofing this year and my step-daughter who works in the housing industry recommended Legacy Roofing. Their estimator answered our call immediately and set up a really quick appointment. We discussed what we wanted and his estimate came in the range we expected to pay for a 40 year 3-tab roof. The estimator gave an overview of the work to be done, including describing what would happen with vents, gutters, etc. So we went with them. They scheduled a tentative date, then called us every day to let us know when they'd actually arrive, which was three days later. Fine by us. The crew showed up, stripped all the old cedar shingles while laying down plywood and a shield. That done, the shingle crew showed up the following Monday and by Tuesday the work was complete. They also installed a skylight which has been less happy since the work is still in progress since the sheet rock guys were backlogged. Overall, we're very happy we called them

I spent many hours happily browsing through exhibits that ranged from a collection of different mechanical parts, on gem creation, on math, a neat computerized fish tank, and others. I found there were many activities suitable for children, but adults were not neglected. I bought the city pass so was able to do quite a few of the major attractions in Boston without costing me a lot of money. The city pass is well worth it and so is a visit to the Museum of Science. The subway makes it easy by having a stop right at the museum.+

We play Kenwanda Golf Course when we visit relatives in Snohomish. The tees boxes don't give the ladies much break. Some of the holes are pretty challenging -- my least favorite is the uphill par 3 that is very steep and hard to hit to the top. Lots of up and down climbing on the course gives you a good hike. Pro and players are friendly. A good course to learn on, it was the first I ever played in WA.

I shop at Fred Meyer's every time I have household, garden, clothing, and groceries to buy, all at the same time. I like their low prices on Kroger brand goods. They've upgraded their meat department, which used to be our main complaint. Now we are willing to buy a steak, or deli meat, and often find our bacon, hotdogs, turkeys etc. There jewelry department is also good. Many of the Fred Meyer brand fertilizers are lower than anywhere else. One thing to watch for at Thanksgiving is they usually offer a free turkey if you buy $100 worth of goods. What a great treat for customers. Their rewards system is pretty good, too.

We spent a delightful 45 minutes snooping through all the offerings at Wild Birds Unlimited. They sell bird seed and houses. They carry some birding guides and binoculars from Eagle Optical. They have feeding station kits that you piece together. Plus all the usual standard toys and jewelry -- stuffed birds that sing their real song, and hummingbird earrings. A puzzle was our selected purchase. The staff answered many of our questions and packed us up to go quickly.

We found ourselves on the top (8th) floor of the Ramada Inn on the Beach. Costs were really decent given the access to beach, okay-sized swimming pool, hot stuffy work out room, and king-sized bed....
We found ourselves on the top (8th) floor of the Ramada Inn on the Beach. Costs were really decent given the access to beach, okay-sized swimming pool, hot stuffy work out room, and king-sized bed. My sister got an upgrade with a jacuzzi and refridgerator. The view is fantastic. Mahi Mah's is on the premises. The wedding buffet was held in a banquet room and was adequate though not waited on very well. Overall, I was very pleased by the clean accomodations and good bed.

Mahi Mah's had pretty good sushi. The rice was a little too sweet for my taste. The miso soup had seaweed in it and was delightfully not too salty. I had their chicken strips which went well on a bad stomach. The vegetable rolls were good but there was one vegetable that crunched ickily. My husband had a burger that was overcooked. It was a different experience with adequate bar food and pretty good sushi. Service was good.
