I've been to both Sushi Sambas in New York but this location on Lincoln Road has the best setting. The food is consistently good and creative at all the locations. The presentation is great too at all of them but this location is my favorite because you can have a great experience whether you sit inside or outside. They serve brunch, lunch and dinner and offer a great fusion of south american (brazilian, peruvian) elements with asian food. The servers are young and hip and attentive but not too attentive. The menu has something for everyone from sushi eaters to those just going for the atmosphere. Their music is amazingy also have a great selection of wines and sake if that's your thing and desserts too.

The only reason to even go to Nexxt is to sit outside and people watch. They have two areas. One is right outside the restaurant and the other is strange. It's across the way in the center part of Lincoln Road. Even if you get a seat near the restaurant, good luck getting any service. The servers are too busy chatting with each other or looking around to properly take care of the customers. The thing is, that Nexxt has a solid menu (much like the Cheesecake Factory in terms of design and appreance) that offers tons of creative and different salads, sandwiches, appetizers, pizzas etc. I've never made it far enough for dessert but the last few times I've gone, the service has just been dismal. I'm fully bilingual but I have to say that I'm not sure how people who aren't manage to order here.

Tuna's is on Biscayne right on the marina so you can enjoy sitting outside on the water, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sunset or the water. Their menu is extremely varied with all kinds of seafood and steak, soups, salads, wine, etc. They also serve desserts. The thing is, this restaurant lacks that certain something, that spark to make it really great. Maybe it's the name? Who knows, but with such a prime location I expected more from this place. You'll most likely leave full and satisfied but it's got great potential to be superb.

Pizza Roma is a winner. Their pies are just great. The balance between sauce, crust and cheese is just right and they offer a nice variety of other Italian dishes ranging from chicken to pasta to salads. Order the 16" pie and get the leftovers to go. They have a great selection of toppings and their garlic rolls are very tasty. The prices are fair and this is just a great place to run in to grab a bite or to get takeout. The atmosphere is always nice at Pizza Roma!

Paquitos is fun. There's live Mariachi music, typical Mexican restaurant decor - sombreros, tequila bottles, cactus plants, corona signage. The food is blah. The dessert is good but that's usually difficult to mess up. This is a fun place to go with a group but it's more about the atmosphere and the restaurant experience than it is about having good food. The salad I ordered just wasn't fresh. The lettuce came out of a bag and it looked like it did. This place just isn't on my list of places to go back to any time soon.

This place isn't like any coffee shop you've ever been to before. The undertones are Brazilian - the music, the drinks, the menu and the servers (among the most beautiful people you'll see in NYC). Try their plantain chips with sauce to start. They also have great coffee shop menu items like burgers, soups, sandwiches etc. When the weather is nice, definitely sit outside. Great people watching in Union Square. This place is a great stand by. They also have a full bar and they're always open.

I heard about Alice's Tea Cup and just had to try it out. If you're looking for just some Lipton's to go, then this might not be the place for you. If you want to sit back and enjoy some brewed tea, definitely stop in. They have wonderful Indian Chai that is sweet and exotically spiced. Try their scones too. They serve on whimsical mismatched china the tables and chairs are all different. They serve delicious and creative brunch but the wait can be super duper long. They also have a little party room in the back that could be nice for a shower or birthday party. At the front of the shop, they sell tea sets and other knick knacks. It's the perfect place to go sit and enjoy a pot of your own tea while it's snowy and cold outside.

Le Pain Quotidiene is just great. You can sit at the small tables or next to strangers at the communal table. The hazelnut spread is amazing and the apricot jam is too but definitely spend your calories on the hazelnut. The coffee is great and it's served in your own little pot and the breads are fresh and delicious. (Some are just too nutty for me.) They also serve pastries, tarts, soft boiled eggs and Belgian waffles for breakfast. I haven't had their lunch yet but they have salads and sandwiches on the menu. This is not for those who don't eat carbs. I like to go with friends and share a baker's basket of assorted breads and try the different spreads. Their coffee drinks are also very good and they sell their spreads in jars.

I needed a manicure so I tried VN Nails but there was nothing special about this place so I am still looking for a place that does nails near work. It was just okay. It's quick and inexpensive ($10) for regular manicure and $15 for French. They do full sets and acrylics and everything else. They have the spa chairs for pedicures and there were three techs there during lunchtime on a Thursday. They take walk-ins and appointments as well. The selection of colors is okay but you might do better to bring your own if you're picky. It wasn't terrible but I am not rushing back.

Rebel...There's construction going on on Biscayne right outside Rebel so it's a little challenging to find parking but make your way to this store. It's big and open and 2/3 of the space is dedicated to women's fashions. The other side is men's. They carry all the fun brands from true religion, to rock and republic to juicy to susanna monaco and so many more. They also have a big selection of swimwear from cosabella and a lot of fun necklaces, shoes, bags and more. They also sell lingerie from cosabella and on gossamer. There's a part of the store dedicated to the sale items that's worth looking in too.
