Good - Not Just for Brunch Any More
Sunday, June 11, 2006
I was stuck in NYC (things could be worse) - the bridges and tunnels were backed up to midtown. I needed dinner and a way to kill an hour. I passed tons of pizza joints and bars with screaming sports fans (something called the world cup is going on, so I am told). I focused on Good - my NYC staple for great brunch.
I had their steak, croquette, salad for $20. Service was (as always) spot on. The steak was full of flavor with a pesto-like sauce I used on the salad too. I am fussy about how my steak is done and they hit it dead center the first time.
I was tempted to have dessert (they have hand made donuts and great hot chocolate) but I decided to be good - need to lose weight.
Total bill, with generous tip - $25.
Give it a shot.
