Quirky, funny, charming gift shop

Curious Heart is hard to miss: It's a yellow house with a spaceship in the front yard, complete with aliens. Inside, the quirkiness continues throughout the shop's four small rooms and tiny enclosed courtyard. Every nook and cranny is filled with unique gift and home decor items. There's an extensive collection of wind-up toys, a room full of Christmas decorations, garden ornaments of all types. Owner Cathy Corley gives local artists space to display their pieces, so there's always something at Curious Heart you can't find anywhere else. Prices are wide-ranging; there's a wall of party favor-type items for a few dollars, and there are art pieces for several hundred dollars. Curious Heart carries fun brands like David and Goliath, Alessi and Haba.
Curious Heart is in the Berryhill shopping district, so shoppers can walk across the street afterward to have a coffee at Sam & Zoe's or a meal at Baja Burrito.
