I've been to many billiards businesses, and since I'm originally from NV, I'm used to smoky dark rooms that are littered with old creepy guys and well, litter. This place, however, is clean and inviting. I've played late on a Friday night, and the crowd is hardly intimidating. The food is good, sort of on the up side, and at the most, you'll pay about 7 bucks for two to play pool for an hour on a nice full size pool table. They also have snooker, so if you're looking for that, look no further.

The line can get pretty long here, but that's good right? If there's a lot of people than it must be good. Okay, maybe that's not true for McDonald's, but I have to say that choosing your own ingredients and spices make this dinner or lunch spot one of the best. You never have to worry about getting something you don't like. Wait in the line. Trust me. It's worth it.

I never really thought about how different breads were until I stepped foot in this place. They have menus that change daily and the most amazing breads I've ever had in Northern California. The cinnamon swirl bread is a great breakfast food that looks like a loaf of french bread. You just cut a piece off in the morning, warm it up and put some butter on it. It can seem pricey, but it's worth it. It's so good. Check it out.

I like this place just to get some quick coffee. I like the Americanas much better than the house coffee. I fully reccomend the espresso, but the coffee is almost convenience store quality. Since there are drive thrus on both sides, it always feels like the line is short. Give this spot a try if you're rushed, otherwise, there are some better options out there.

Hands down, this is one of the best places for sandwiches. They load on the meat, and that's the best part of the sandwich. They're also really generous with all the fixings. Their bread isn't artisan by any means, but it's not bad either. Check out the Lunch Box and get a big ol' sandwich.

The Cafe is great. It's small, and it's easy to hear the bands. You can hang out in there for free, on the big couch or the bar, or one of the booths even if you can't afford the show. The food and drinks are pretty mediocre, but the venue itself is not too shabby. The sound is excellent, the lighting needs some work, but the greatest part is that even if the show sells out, it's small enough that even the big acts seem really intimate on such a small stage. Definetly check out the shows at this place.

Woodstock's is locatd right in downtown Chico and has superb pizza. It is definetly the best pizza around as far as non chain gigs go. You can expect a young crowd with the college near by. The dough is so thick and light, it's consumable to say the least. I highly recommend Woodstock's for your next rendevous or just to have dinner and hang out.

This coffee shop has an interesting building with high windows and a closed off feel. The drive thru is obviously from a small town. The house coffee isn't that great, so I would recommend the Americanas. The food really is quite tasty, but don't expect to get it for cheap. The seating feels kind of like a cafeteria, but the drive through is speedy enough that you don't have to worry about the seating.

Jake's is a great place to get a tasty burger any day of the week. The best days though are Sundays and Wednesdays because burgers are just a buck on those days. There is one catch though. I haven't exactly figured it all out mathematically, but even when I go there on a Sunday or Wednesday with my wife, after two burgers,r two drinks, some fries, the extra for cheese, and other things I might not realize I'm paying for it's always over ten bucks, so I'm not sure that it's that great of a deal. It is good eating though.

For the small town of Oroville, this theatre is not too shabby. My favorite comes every Tuesday, when movies cost just three dollars to get in. They star a few of them, but if you wait a week or two, the stars leave and are then discounted. They have a website that you can check, www.frcmovies.com which is great because you don't have to deal with all the Fandango nonsense. It's a nice little theatre.
