This is a great place for Thai food with great atmosphere too. The neighborhood is not that upscale, but inside the restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a great authentic feel. The food is excellent and reasonable. There is a large vegetarian menu and pages of entrees. I recommend the spinach and tofu with peanut sauce or the green curry. The one drawback is that you have to buy rice separately and you get an okay amount, but not that much. The appetizer and dessert options are good too.

Thai stick is a great place for Thai curries and has a good peanut sauce curry as well. The lunch menu has a combo deal option that comes with soup and egg roles at a reasonable price. There is a large vegetarian menu and a wide variety of dining options. The resturaunt also has kareoke nights, although I have never been to one myself.

Customization of burritos and other entrees is not easy, but the freshness and tastiness of the food is unparalleled. La Salsa also features a salsa bar including pico de gaillo, mango salsa, and guacamole. This restaurant offers incredible servings for surprisingly cheap prices.

University of the Pacific dental school is a good university but it is incredibly expensive. The school is in fact the most expensive dental school in the country-but it makes fiscal sense to attend because the school offers a three-year dental program. The school provides a lot of financial aid but does a horrible job of reminding you of how you made the right choice and that the school is expensive but worth it. Also, they require you to lease a laptop for far more than it is worth.

Paper Source is a novelty store that can prove handy in the right situations. The store is fairly small and has a somewhat limited but good selection of papers with designs on them that are made of different materials. I am making a pair of mood lights and will print silhouette pictures on vellum paper and put the paper in front of a lamp on a wire frame. The vellum paper is opaque and lets a decent amount of light through-its perfect!

Esrik Cleaners is the first dry cleaning service I have used in San Francisco. I shopped around to find the cheapest place to dry clean my boyfriend's dress shirts; Esrik Cleaners was 1.50 per shirt compared to some others in the Pacific Heights area reaching roughly 3-4$! The employee who answered the phone was very nice and stayed a few minutes after closing to wait for me to drop off the items, which had a turnaround time of two days! Great Service.

New to San Francisco, I've yet to find an Indian food place that is as good as some in Oregon. Star of India was fairly good, they have a wide selection of food-but do not cater well to vegans. The buffet table could use a spot to rest your tray, but all and all it was good service and good food!
