Dragon Garden 3 is one of the best Chinese takeout places in Milford. It is the only place I order Chinese take out from. I've tried many Chinese delivery places in Milford over the years, and have mostly been disappointed except for a few. Dragon Garden is the best in my opinion. They have excellent Chicken teriyaki sticks, you never know what you are going to get when you order these from a Chinese takeout place, but Dragon Garden 3's are always very succulent. They also have great spicy Tofu (or bean curd) dishes. They have consistently served good Chinese takeout over the past several years, I know I can't go wrong when ordering from this establishment.

Cardsmart is a nice discount card and gift shop. They offer cards and gift wrap at discounted prices. There selection of cards is different from those you find at the grocery store. They also sell the typical card and gift store items like mylar balloons, gift bags, invitations, knick knacks, stuffered bears and the sort. Greeting cards can be so expensive, so it's nice to have a discounted card store close by. This Cardsmart is in a conveneient location, in with Adams supermarket next to Dairy Queen. I have purchased lots of greeting cards at Cardsmart, and always feel that I am paying very reasonable prices for them.

Liquid Lunch has the most delicious homemade soups. They offer a great variety, which includes several standards offered every day and daily specials which are usually about five or six different soup specials each day! The standard chicken noodle soup which is offered daily is delicious, it is my standby if a daily special doesn't catch my eye. Keep an eye out for the green chicken chili, that one is awesome too (although more soupy then chili consistency - but still excellent!). Liquid Lunch is very expensive, but it really is outstanding food. They will deliver lunch for large orders, but their delivery spots fill up rather quickly, so call early. They also have some really tasty and original sandwiches, offered on a range of fresh delicious breads.

They offer a great selection of fruits and vegetables at extremely reasonable prices. I have been shopping here occasionally for over ten years. If you need to bring an item to a party and need to keep your costs low, offer either a fruit or vegetable platter or a pasta salad, and by shopping for your produce at M&M Farms you can bring an awesome looking and tasting dish to feed a crowd for easily under eight dollars. They have recently added Asian and Indian groceries at M&M Farms, so you can shop here for those kind of items as well.

Archie Moore's is the original place to go for buffalo wings in Connecticut. They serve delicious wings whether you like them mild, medium or hot. They always come with a delicous side of blue cheese for dipping and carrot and celery sticks. The Archie Moore's in Milford is a great place to eat, whether indoors or outdoors in the summer. It gets very busy on the outside patio during the summer, with primarily a younger crowd. They offer a great free happy hour buffet featuring of course their buffalo wings. They also sell their wing sauce so you can make your own buffalo wings at home. This is a great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner, great average priced food.

I love the Seven Sea Restauarant and bar. While it is not an "old man bar" it is laid back, rustic, and an awesome place to grab a beer or some dinner with friends. They have great huge burgers and excellent buffalo wings. The service has always been pretty good in my experience. The eating area is pretty small, as this is a pretty small place to begin with. They have a bar which you always feel completely comfortavle walking into. Seven Seas is a great place, I love it.

I took my son to the Hometown Buffet for dinner a few weeks ago, as he had been there once before with his dad and liked it. It was reasonably priced for a buffet, I think it was only about twelve dollars for all the food and drink both of us could eat. They have the usual buffet selection of chicken, beef, pasta, and OK salad bar, nachos, pizza and french fries for the kids. We did not save room for dessert so I'm not sure what they had to offer for sweets. The place is very large and was very packed, I think they usually are pretty packed every night of the week, as it is a very good value to eat here. I wasn't all that impressed with the food though.

I love seeing concerts and shows at the Arena at Harbor Yard. It is just the right size, certainly not too big, yet big enough to land great acts. Just wish they would have more music concerts. If you get tickets early enough you can get awesome seats, and really there aren't any bad seats in the house anyway. At the last show I saw there they stopped selling beer and alcohol at ten pm which we didn't expect or plan for, so be forewarned. I am hoping they will start to have a lot more shows in the future, since they only really seem to have about one per month, which stinks.

I hope I never have an emergency and need to go to Milford Hospital. I brought my son there to the emergency room once. They were quite busy, and I gave my sons name to the guard when we arrived. Nobody even came out to ask what was wrong with him! We waited quite awhile before they even asked what was wrong, and then were not very helpful and didn't seem very concerned about his condition at all. I have always heard bad things about Milford hospital but I never wanted to believe them since its hearsay and just one persons opinion. Now I feel the same way, and am very disappointed, as I am usually proud of what Milford has to offer.

Adam's Supermarket is a good place to pick up a few items you may be out of if you are close by don't feel like heading out to a larger grocery store. They don't have much of a selection, not only in the grocery departement but also in the frozen food section. There produce selection is pretty good though, as is their deli and bakery. I think the bakery at Adam's is much better than Shoprite's. They also have some prepared foods at Adam's now, if you are looking to grab something already prepared for a fast meal at home. There sales never really seem all that great, but once or twice a year they do run some buy one get two free deals which might be worth a trip.
