Lake Compounce is a great place to get some summer funtime in with the family. Even if you don't like amusement park rides, you can have a good time just hanging out at the beach, pools and sprinklers. The park is not too massively gig, yet large enough to spend the day without getting bored. we usually visit at least one time per summer. I recommend renting a locker for your bags and clothes if you plan on spending lots of time in the water.

The Fairfield Cinemas on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, CT is a nice place to see a movie. They have a parking garage, and escalaotrs to enter the lobby. They are right behind the Showcase Bridgeport theaters, which I always found a bit odd, but the two theaters always play different movies from each other, so i guess that is convenient. These Cinemas are comfortably sized, although i get nervous sometimes in the parking garage, it is dark.

The Showcase Bridgeport at BlackRock Movie Theaters in Bridgeport are an OK place to see a movie. They are smaller than some theaters, but they are conveniently located in Black Rock, so lots of good bars and restaurants to visit before or after the show. They have a pretty small parking lot too, so you usually get good parking here as well. I like going to this theater for matinees, since there are usually not alot of people there.

The Crown Marquis theaters in Trumbull CT are a pretty modern and nice place to see a movie. They play all the most popular new releases, and there is always something for the kids to see. They usually offer a free movie for kids during the summer on like a wednesday or thursday morning, check their website for details this summer. I hear these days fillup fast with camp kids though, so get there early and expect a crowd. These theaters are off route 25 near Bridgeport, they have been there for several years now.

The Showcase Orange movie theaters have been in Orange for a long time, and boy can you tell! The last time I was there was last summer, and it is old school compared to the other theaters in the area. It is a large movie theater, and you can usually get good parking because not alot of people attend these theaters as far as i can tell. They are conveniently located right off I95 and right next to the Outback Steakhouse. Not a bad place to catch a movie, but don't expect bells and whistles at this theater.

Regal Stratford Stadium 14 Theaters in Stratford, CT is a fairly good place to catch a movie. They have stadium seating, play the more popular latest movie releases, and you can use Fandango to order your tickets online. This is one of the only local theaters where you can buy tickets at Fandango, so if you happen to have a promotion code for fandango you can use them for this theater. I usually take the kids to this theater in the summer for a matinee.

I knew that the Sierra Grille was related to La Salsa in Fairfield, so we ate lunch there today. In my opinion it is not as good as La Salsa. They did not have as many salsa versions, and some were either too watery or too thick with not enough juice. The menu is not anywhere near as extensive as La Salsa. And the prices at Sierra Grille are definetly higher than at La Salsa. The burrito I had was good though, loaded with chicken. The black beans were extra, and think as anything, not very good to me.

The Milford Public Library on New Haven Avenue is a great place to visit with your children for free entertainment. My son is on vacation this week. He was able to borrow three Encyclopedia Brown Books, five books in The DragonSlayers Academy series (which he loves) and also a video to watch at Grandmas tomorrow for free. I borrowed three James Patterson easy reads which I have yet to read, and a new Melissa Banks chich lit book. They recently remodelled, although it does not look much different to me, but then again we were in and out of there in about ten minutes so we didn't really explore the place. The childrens departm,ent has a nice new computer with a nice flat screen monitor for the kids to play on.

I've had Geico Direct as my automobile insurance for the past five years, and I have always been pleased with both my rate and with the service they have provided me. I was recently in a car accident that was not my fault, however there was no police report filled out. I thought I might have a problem, but Geico went after the other parties insurance and I received a refund of my deductible in about three months, Not too long of a wait, considering I didn't even have to make a phone call other than the one to report the accident to Geico. I have been pleased with their services and will keep them as long as they remain competitive.
