If you need to find something to match a room in your house, this is the place to go. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. One word of caution-if you want cheap fixtures, do not come here! City Shoe Service is a great place to have your shoe repairs done. I had a $200 pair of shoes that had the heel worn out. They were able to replace the heel and get my shoes back to me within 2 days! They also took the time to cover the scuff marks and overall make the entire shoe look great, not just the heel I took it in for repairs.

We went to Tri Textbooks after 3 years of actually buying textbooks at the NSU bookstore. The rentals cost less than the price of used books at the bookstore, but you don’t need to worry about trying to sell the books back after. This is especially good for books you know you will not keep. Just be sure not to lose them! It cost us $50 to replace a lost book!

Dr. Blythe is a great oral surgeon! I was referred to him by my regular dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. He put me under and I felt like I had the best rest of my life when I came to. His assistants were very friendly and helped me to relax before the procedure. After everything was done, I didn’t feel a thing, and was able to eat most foods the very next day.

Fakkier’s has beautiful jewelry. Don’t be put off by the expensive look of the store. The staff were just as happy to have me there looking (even though I was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt) as they were to tend to their paying customers. They also have Rolexes! I wish I could afford to shop here, and trust me, if I could, I would!

Noah’s Ark has a bunch of great pet supplies. We bought our first pet, a bunny, here 5 years ago before the larger chain stores opened. They tend to be a little expensive, but sometimes I am surprised by the stuff they carry that I couldn’t find elsewhere. The place is a fairly decent size and there are plenty of fish to look at, so be sure to bring your kids when you come, too.

We always went to Duncan sports to get sporting goods during football season. They used to be the only place in town to get pads, mouthguards, socks and other team apparel. We still go there when other bigger chains are out of things, and they always seem to have what we need. If they do not have it, they can order it for you in a reasonable amount of time. Come here if you need anything for your kids’ sports team!

I never knew what the Sugar Plum was until I actually stepped foot in it. I went with a friend and we had been all over town looking for decorations for a cake for her son’s party. This is the only place that had it. There are literally thousands of cake decorations/toppers in this place, as well as specialty pans, and other stuff needed for a party. The prices can be a little high, but if you can’t find something anywhere else, come here!

Something Blue is a great bridal shop. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We were able to get dresses with alterations for less than $75, and they weren’t the cheesy looking dresses either. They worked with us for member of the bridal party that were unable to attend for fittings. We gave measurements and the alterations they did fit them to a Tee! I highly recommend this place-great dresses and very affordable!

Sweet Pea florist has everything you need for the perfect Mother’s day, anniversary, or birthday arrangement. Their delivery service is terrific and they will deliver in town exactly where you want them to. Their arrangements are beautiful and use fresh flowers. They even included a packet of powder to add to the water to keep the flowers fresher longer. I have never been disappointed by the arrangements I have sent or received from them!
