yummy and cheap

Friday, March 25, 2005
Plenty of good cheap eats abound in chinatown but NY Noodletown is a cut above the rest. It's a smallish restaurant with absolutely no decor but the line goes out the door. Many locals do take out here, as you will see while you wait for your table. The waiters are curt but the food is fab and quick and cheap (definitely under $10 per person). It's not just noodles here, although the noodle soups are delic. It used to be hard to communicate with the waiters when the clientele was almost entirely chinese but the word seems to be out on this place so the waiters are now able to deal with non-chinese speakers.
