To be fair, I've had a lot of Maggiano's catering for events, both at the restaurant and off-site. So maybe there is a difference with just a single meal (only had a normal meal once and I don't remember what it was like).
I found everything to be fairly ordinary. They had HUGE amounts of meat for their meat dishes. I had pretty good salmon once. The bread is good. But so is most bread everywhere.
I've also had the chance to drink a lot of their wine and found it to taste nice and flow freely.
The servers are really nice whenever I have been there.
