Do you have a business line which needs to be answered when you're away for lunch or gone for the night? Maybe just a service that can send text messages to your phone or pager? Perhaps you just need a personal voice mail to handle incoming calls. No matter what your telephone answering needs are, PAS is the way to go. Friendly and competent operators (perhaps not the best spellers, but I suppose none of us are perfect!), reasonable rates, and such a variety of services.
Give them a call to see what deal YOU can get for your personal or business telephone needs.

It seems that gift certificates for Earthling Day Spa are required for anyone having a birthday, getting married, or graduating from high school. At least that's when I got all of mine, plus a few extras thrown in over the years for just being a great person (at least that's my assumption).
The GC's are nice. They're on parchment paper and rolled up to look like a scroll--much more personal than the plastic cards that are so popular these days.
The spa is very nice, very quiet, and very intimate. During the times that I've visited, the 30 minute massages lasted 45, the 45-minute massages lasted 60, and the 60 minute massages lasted an hour and fifteen. Not bad!
I've also gotten the best facial in the world, the best manicure in the world, and the best pedicure in the world there. I wish there was more parking (They're in the shopping center with Eckerds and Blockbuster Video). Can be a bit daunting to find parking during a busy Saturday afternoon.
Book early because they book up fast. And buy some of their good smelling lotions and potions. They're expensive, for sure, but consider a $45 lipstick as a "personal reward" for being the wonderful soul that you are.

THe Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (also known as the Ballard Locks) is situated half in Ballard, half in Magnolia, and is connected via the locks which have walkways connecting the two sides.
The fish ladder is on the Magnolia side, and the large parkgrounds are on the Ballard side.
Go when the fish are running which is generally between June and September. You'll see salmon so big they just make your mouth water (that is, if you're a fan of Salmon, which I am not).
If you're lucky, you can see some otters or sea lions outside of the locks grabbing their share of tasty swimming salmon. You'll also see the salmon outside the locks as they try to get in and out.
This is a very large and beautiful park and the best part is THE ENTIRE THING IS FREE!!! How many great things like this are free of charge? Not many, that's for sure!
If you go during the summer, parking can be tight on the Ballard Side. Cross the ballard bridge, go into Magnolia, follow some windy roads and park on the Magnolia side. Traffic is much lighter and the parking is actually closer to the action than on the Ballard Side.
Bring your camera, pack a lunch, and spend one of the few sunny SEattle days out in the open watching fish do things that they've been doing for millions of years

Oh! What a great outside bazzar of every imaginable thing possible to buy.
Are you in the mood for hand-crafted soap? How about furniture made by local artisans? Not in the mood for that? Then there are at least 10,000,000 other things that will tickle your fancy at this market that, despite its name, is not just held on Saturdays, but Sundays as well under the Bridge.
Take cash--not everyone has a card machine. Mingle with tourists and locals alike.
Just when you think you've seen it all, you turn a corner for another block of stalls and tents.
Don't forget about the food court, where the most heavenly aromas fill the air and your nostrils and make you want a little bit of everything
Go, have fun, and take cash and a bag to carry back all of your goodies in!

Oh my goodness!
THey say that you must spend a week in each of the museums associated with the Smithsonian Institute to get the 'full effect' of the Smithsonian Experience.
The same must be said for Powell's Books. It has to be the LARGEST bookstore in the world--at least the biggest one I've ever been to.
So many books that the store takes up an entire city block. Over 1 Million tomes are within reach of your sticky little fingers.
Grab a mocha, get some reads, sit down and have at it. Oh yeah, buy some books too...don't just schlep around and read the books for free.....come on...they have to pay the bills too, right?
Oh...panhandlers sometimes abound outside. Just step past, toss some change and go inside. Generally they (the panhandlers) won't hurt you, they're just looking to pay the bills too.

I had the misfortune of taking pills that counteracted with each other and had to be rushed to ECRMC for emergency care. I arrived at the hospital around 2am and the doctor and nurses who cared for me were most condescending and rude.
THey were certain that I had purposefully taken these pills to overdose, and called a psychologist from a mental health center to evaluate me before they'd let me leave.
My stomach had to be pumped and while I should have been given care and consideration, all I got was rude remarks and bigoted comments about my condition. They treated my husband rudely as well because they had somehow formed the idea in their head that he was to blame for my accidental mixing of medications.
Perhaps the staff was having a bad day/night, but I found their treatment of me and my husband, as well as their overall lack of professionalism to be beyond the pale, and I would not reccomend that you go to this hospital unless you're in dire need of life-saving services. Even with that being said, be prepared to be talked down to, insulted, and have incorrect accusations thrown at you and your family

I was relatively happy with MUSC Family Medicine when they were the primary care providers for my husband and I.
It's very convenient that all of their services, such as x-rays, labs, etc, are located in the same building--no need to travel to West Ashley to get X-rays, then Mt. Pleasant to get labs, then back downtown for your appointment. It's all there and all ready for you.
Sometimes, though, such consolidation of services make you feel like more of a number than a patient. THe staff is friendly and compitent, but be advised that the doctor you'll be assigned to is generally going to be a resident--which isn't a problem generally but my husband and I did have issues with a resident giving us incorrect medical information, causing us to worry needlessly about a condition that wasn't even an issue with regards to our health (He told my husband, who has high blood pressure, that his kidneys would soon fail....completely incorrect and unprofessional thing to say as he's leaving the room and giving no time for questions or clarification). If you have a concern about this, ask to be assigned to an actual "MD" doctor and not a resident.
OVerall, the service was fantastic, they have very good office hours and can even see patients on Weekends.

Do you have a hedgehog that needs hedging? A bird that needs clipping? No need to search around for a hedgehog-only vet, or one that only sees birds...Dr. Berger tends to all of your fine feathered and furred friends.
His office is located on Calhoun St. in Downtown Charleston and the staff is so friendly as is Dr. Berger. They have the typical 'office kitty' that roams the place, and the office is in a converted single house which gives it a nice homey feel.
Also, as far as I know, Dr. Berger also does house calls if you're in need of at-home services.
His rates are very resonable and I was always able to get prompt attention and appointments when needed.
Highly reccomended!

Seattle Center is what houses the Space Needle, Key Arena, Pacific Science Center, and a whole bunch of space and nothing much else.
There is an amusement park there, which makes it fun. IT's also one of the 2 stops on the Monorail, which is a fun thing to ride.
There are a bunch of buildings that aren't ever used except when there are festivals or marches going on. If you go to Seattle Center on a tuesday, expect there to be nothing to do besides going to the Space Needle.
This is where Bite of Seattle is held, which is super fun.
There's a fountain that you can play in, too

See, the thing about Seattle is that there are more cloudy days than sunny days. Especially September-July
So if you're going to the needle for the view, make sure it's a sunny day, otherwise you're not even going to be able to see your hand in front of your face, much less the views across Elliott Bay.
The trip to the top is expensive as well. I believe around $12 - $15 a person. If you go during the clear days, the wait to get up to the needle will be around an hour, just standing in line......
I say skip the needle. Go a few blocks away to Kerry Park in Queen Anne (W. Highland Dr at 3rd Ave W.). This is the place where 99% of all pictures of Seattle are taken. You can see the space needle, downtown, the water, the islands....and for FREE!!
