The Angelika Film Center used to be the place to go to see your favorite indie movie. Despite it's trendy overpriced coffee and snacks and the rambling from the subway, people used to always flock there to see the new "it" movie. Now there are so many other alternative theaters like the Sunshine to see a movie. I'd say only go here if it's the only place showing the movie you wanna see!

The TKTS booth used to be a good deal but there aren’t that many good shows to go to except for maybe Blue Man Group. This booth is a tourist trap right smack in the middle of Times Square. It’s not worth waiting in line for. I’d suggest that you do some research on rush ticketing for whichever show you want and you’ll save a lot more money!

Like “The Hop”, Soho Billiards is the place to be on any night of the week. Cold beers, good food, and cool people make this joint the best billiards place in Manhattan. The ambiance here could not be any better (the good looking crowd is always here!). It also helps that the staff is friendly and the tables aren’t all scratched up!

There's only one place to go see a movie in New York City and it's here at the Sunshine Cinema. Avoid the other "theater" on Houston Street. The Sunshine Cinema has the best indie films every week with a cult favorite every weekend. This theater gives you the old charm and feel of old movie theaters. This is what a movie going experience is supposed to be like!

After having driven past here several times on the West Side Highway, one afternoon I chose to stop by the much-raved about Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museuem. All I can say is WOW. I was in awe of the jets and planes that were on display. The tour was quite informative as well but a little boring.

Unfortunately, Yankee Stadium is also host to overpriced beers, crappy food and I haven't said anything about its antiquated seats and features. It's still worth visiting once in your life

I've been to the Metropolitan Musem of Art quite a few times.. each time for free. I could never bring myself to pay to go to this place. It's highly overrated and they don't even possess any of the world's coolest or unique pieces of art. Save your money and go to the Guggenheim or leave the area for once and go to a real art museum. If you must go, go on a Friday afternoon after 4pm when it's free but beware of the lines to get in!

The Bronx Zoo is a great place to visit whether you're a kid or an adult! My favorite exhibit is the gorillas and apes. I just recently went with my nephew and I had just as much fun there as I did when I went in grade school. The gift shop is a little pricier than I remember, but what the hell, you don't go there everyday!

Matt Umanov Guitars has some of the coolest guitars and amps in the city. I'd rather buy something here than at Sam Ash and Guitar Center. You can negotiate on some of the stuff here and they have a small jam room. The staff is pretty chill and overly eager to help you out but you can't blame them for that.

What a delight it was to visit International Portrait Studios. With a helpful, friendly staff, we were able to get Henry to sit still for many photographs that we’d send to our family in California. The prices were more than affordable and I look forward to bringing my family in future holiday card photos. I give this place my highest recommendations.
