We have dined at this Oggi's location quite a few times and have always received excellent food. Their menu is large and offers pizzas, calzones, salads, pasta, and more. Every time we've eaten there we've come back with leftovers because the pizzas are really filling. My husband likes their beer selection. Santee's Oggi's has never been overly crowded when we've eaten there, though the service can be slow sometimes for some unknown reason. For those who enjoy the buzz of being around people drinking and watching the game (during various sports seasons), check out the Mission Valley location, which seems to be a lot more active.

I heard about Sipz through a vegan acquaintance and decided to check it out since good vegan and vegetarian food can be hard to find. Almost all of their dishes are vegan (contains no animal products of any kind) and all of the dishes I've tried were great to excellent. The "meat" in the food is actually soy "meat" and is very good. My favorite dish by far is the oriental chicken salad, but I have yet to be disappointed by anything I've tried. The service is usually fine, but could use some improvement - they tend to be a bit too lax. A smidge more attentiveness would be a nice addition to an otherwise great restaurant.

Extraordinary Desserts is one of the first places I visited when I moved to San Diego based on numerous rave reviews. It did not disappoint. The lines are often long to get in, especially on weekends, but it is worth the wait! There are so many excellent treats that it's hard to pick one. My husband and I have split a slice of cake on several occasions because the pieces are fairly large and often quite rich. To me it's worth the $7-8/slice. If you can score an outside table it's really nice to sit with friends to chat and enjoy the surroundings. The inside booths are cozy and actually can be fun for people watching. I highly recommend Extraordinary Desserts!

We ordered our wedding cake through Crumbs of Paris for a July 2004 wedding feeding 65 guests. The cake looked very close to the design we requested and the taste was incredible. (Pineapple marscapone and peaches & cream.) In July 2005 we were very excited to get our anniversary cake - we ordered a layer of pineapple marscapone - and were dismayed to find that not only was the inscription wrong, but it was not the flavor we ordered (we never were able to pinpoint the "flavor") and it tasted terrible. I actually got sick later that day. We sadly threw it away.

My husband and I recently tried Chilango's based on some rave reviews by a few acquaintances. Chilango's is a small restaurant with a nice, warm feel and very friendly staff. The appetizer we ordered (MANGO GUACAMOLE) was okay, but not spectacular. My main entrée (PESCADO EMPAPELADO) was fine, but probably something I would not order again. My husband's entrée (ENCHILADAS DE PINA Y QUESO) was fantastic. Then there was the grand finale - dessert. We initially wanted the dulce de leche cheesecake but they were out, so we chose the flourless chocolate cake instead. It was out of this world! I am not a big chocolate cake fan normally, but this cake I could eat every day and not get tired of it! It was a bite of heaven. We will be returning to Chilango's many more times to sample the incredible variety of dishes - and most definitely to have more dessert!

My husband and I stayed at Humphrey's on our wedding night. The room was really nice - very large and felt pretty secluded even though it was in the middle of the property. My friend decorated the room just before we arrived with candles and rose petals so when we arrived we were totally overhelmed. Check-in was easy (even in a swishy wedding dress) and so was check-out. We only stayed that night and didn't utilize all of the amenities they have to offer, so I can't comment on that.
My boss has stayed at the hotel after seeing concerts at Humphrey's and really enjoyed it as well. No complaints - plenty of accolades.
