Tails in the City offers high-end doggie goods. The store is small but jammed pack with items like sweaters, dog beds, and tasty home-made treats. The owners are very nice. I really like the treats that they had for the holidays that were bone-shaped and decorated in red and green. The only drawback is that the items are pricey (some of the sweaters are over $50 each) but they are really, really cute. I would recommed that all dog lovers go there with their pooch.

Fox & Obel is a top-notch gourmet grocery store. It is not large, but the items that they carry are unique and tasty. The produce is always nice and the dessert case is great. I really like their chocolate cake and often have it for birthdays. The red velvet cake is good too, but I really like the chocolate. Oprah had the chef at Fox & Obel cook for her 50th birthday party, so you know that it has to be good. Highly recommended for groceries, breakfast, or lunch.

LaSalle does really good arrangements and the people who work there are nice. I also like the decorating since there are flowers everywhere and Christmas lights in the window. A lot of people also go there for their wedding arrangements.

And I like that it is family run. Their designs are made just for Chicagoans. The employees are really helpful too and are always there to answer your questions.
