Wendella Boats is great. They pick you up on a boat and then you go along the Chicago river while a host tells you about the architectural significance of the various buildings along the shoreline. It takes about an hour and it is very educational. The boats are clean and have an open top deck so you can easily see and take pictures. Definitely recommended on a nice summer day.

The Sea Dog is a lot of fun. You go on a really big yellow speed boat which goes really fast. There are two types of tours, and architectural one and a speed one. I went on the speed tour in which you go really fast out on Lake Michigan. It is really fun. Then you look back at the skyline and they tell you interesting things about the buildings that you can see. Then you go really fast again and back to Navy Pier. I would highly recommend going for a fun time.

I have gone to the Allgero Hotel various times for events and they have a really nice banquet hall and ballroom. The staff do an excellent job bartending and walking around with appetizers. The decor is beautiful in rich saturated colors and wood paneling. The restrooms are clean and nicely kept. The coat check is huge and efficient. I would recommend holding a company event or a party at the Allegro Hotel.

My favorite Chicago Architecture Foundation tour is the boat tour, on which the point out significant building in the loop and in other places along the Chicago River. Also, the Chicago Architecture Foundation has a tour of Millenium Park which I highly recommend. They give you so much history, even people that have lived in the city all their lives will learn something new.

I really love Teuscher's chocolate champagne truffles. I received a box of them as a gift and ever since I have been hooked. They are some of the best chocolate I have ever had. The store is intimate and well done. I really enjoy going there and buying myself a box of the champagne truffles just to treat myself. If you are ever shopping at Bloomingdales, stop at Teuscher before you leave the building, it is well worth it.
