Good Seafood Dishes

Wednesday, September 07, 2005
This restaurant is a bit out of the way for the usual Chinatown tourists, but worth walking the few extra blocks. It's located on the upper-level of a mini shopping center underneath the Manhattan Bridge. My favorites are the Black Peppercorn Scallops (served with peapods) and Shrimp with Walnuts (served with a mayo sauce & broccoli garnish). Generous portions, but a little pricey in my opinion. You can order the shrimp dish at any banquet-style restaurant, but I have yet to find a similar scallop dish elsewhere. That's the main reason I continue to patron this place. If the restaurant is hosting a wedding reception, there may not be tables available. If there are, you'll probably be squeezed into a corner.
