You can always tell the good diners by the crowds, and this one often has a small line out the door on weekend mornings, and certainly has a lot of weekday traffic, too. With a charming retro look and supposed purposefully brusque behavior on the part of the wait staff (a little Soup Nazi influence?), this small diner serves up a vast array of breakfast and lunch fare (heavy on the egg and omelette dishes). Normally open from mornings until the afternoon, they're also open latenight into the wee hours of the morning Thursdays through Sunday for those insomniacs who are also hungry.

This centrally located zoo offers more than the typical animal exhibits. Go on an African savanna safari, go on a pony ride, or explore a barn, among other things. All the expected animals are there too, of course, so it's typical in that respect. Children get in for $7, adults $10, but toddlers up to age 2 are free.
