To those unfamiliar with Scarborough, Lucinda's may be a bit difficult to find. However, with its seclusion comes the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Lucinda's is situated on beautifully manicured lawns and quiet forests. But inside is where the real relaxation begins. Lucinda's offers many spa services, my favorites are their manicures and massages. The relaxation begins in the waiting area, you'll be seated with a glass of water with lemon in comfortable chairs. Their manicurists are excellent with many nifty tricks to help your nails look better longer. All of their manicures are followed by a wonderful hand and arm massage. But Lucinda's Swedish massages are even better. Their massage rooms are quiet, private and relaxing with low lighting and soothing music playing. Their masseuses are professional and very well trained. Whether you're in need of a full day of pampering or just a quick manicure, Lucinda's is the spot!

The Clay Place is the perfect place for birthday parties, get togethers or just some creative fun. You choose an unpainted piece of pottery with options ranging from plates and cups to platters and pencil holders. At this point you'll want to let the creative juices start flowing. After gathering paint, brushes, stencils and stamps you have complete creative license on your piece of pottery. When you've finished painting your pottery you hand it over to the experienced potters at The Clay Place who will glaze and fire the pottery. Sadly, you'll have to wait for 10 days to see the final product, but the wait is well worth it. The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. For the crafter in us all it doesn't get any better than this!

My husband and I used European Bakery for our wedding cakes. I say cakes because instead of a traditional wedding cake we had 20 smaller cakes made for each of our guest tables. European Bakery was perfect. During our consultation the staff was excellent and brought us as many samples as we asked for. They were very helpful in mixing cakes with fillings and frostings and in the end we came up with some delicious combinations. Our cakes were delivered on the wedding day as expected and we had nothing be compliments from the guests. Not only did they look beautiful but it was some of the best cake I've ever eaten!

I've used Hank Mays for several car repairs now and they are always quick and professional. When I brought my car in for its emission inspection they were able to take it right away and had it done within a half an hour. Hank Mays has always completed our work as expected in a prompt manner. I have been surprised at how quickly they have been able to complete some of our auto maintenance. Their prices also seem to be very reasonable. I would suggest trying to drop off your car and wait elsewhere, their waiting area is not very comfortable.

Wadsworth State Park is one of the busier state parks that we’ve been too. They have a nice network of hiking trails, one of which leads to Wadsworth Falls. The falls is accessible via the roadway as well which would allow you to avoid all of the hiking. For families this may be a better option, it’s a long hike and not very interesting once you get started. The state park also has a small swimming hole and changing rooms, picnic tables and barbecue pits. While it might be a nice place for a picnic, the swimming hole is crowded and the water didn’t appear very sanitary while we were there.

Indian Well State Park has a network of hiking trails that are well maintained and quiet. As with anywhere in Connecticut, while hiking you may occasionally hear cars passing by, so you'll know that you're not completely isolated, but its definitely better than most areas. The trails are not very difficult although there is a steep climb at the beginning of the trail system that may be challenging for little kids. Once you've passed that the remaining trail is definitely family-friendly. There is a stream along the trail way with a short stretch of rapids. Aside from the trails the park has a big green field perfect for frisbee or other outdoor games, some picnic tables and barbecue pits.

Waterford Speedbowl is sadly not as clean or professional as Thompson Speedway which is just down the road. Their grandstands are old and not very comfortable, sadly I've been victim to many a seat splinter. Waterford's food tends to be on the greasier side, but that could be considered normal for a race track. Their pits are... well... the pits and don't seem very organized or well-run. If you're itching for some racing it will do in a pinch, but better can be found, and not far away.

Thompson International Speedway is one of the cleanest racing tracks that I have ever been too. It is well run and very safe. Their pit area is organized and very well controlled by their excellent staff. The concession stands sell the usual track food and the grand stands are usually clean and are as comfortable as track stands come. The racing is professional and they have a wide variety of divisions to watch. One of my favorite New England tracks!

I was only able to use Rose Dental Associates for one year while I lived in Albany, but I wish that I could find another dentist like them. Their office is very clean and professional and they have a wide variety of dentists to choose from. The dentist that I had was extremely gentle. I was very nervous for him to fix my first ever cavity (I am wicked afraid of needles) but in the end it didn't hurt at all! He was very professional and talked me through the entire procedure. The staff at the office are patient and friendly. I had a great experience with this dentist office!

My husband and I used Real Estate Marketing Group to find a rental when we first moved to the area. Maggie Teed was so helpful in helping us find our first home. We are very needy as far as renters go, we needed lots of space and we have cats. Maggie sat with us and looked through many, many rental properties compiling a short list of places to visit. While we were driving around to visit each of the places she was able to tell us a lot about each area and was very familiar with Norwalk. When we had chosen a place she worked over the phone to negotiate some sticky points with the contract. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience!
