SPot, in many ways has become a Buffalo institution. It is a very hip coffee shop offering an excellent cup of coffee, a variety of coffee drinks, excellent sandwiches and desserts. A very busy place, the sandwiches sometimes take a while to prepare. A nice patio overlooking the most active part of Elmwood Avenue. A must stop for any visit to the city. Also offers a larger location downtown.

An excellent Greek Diner with a variety of interesting choices for any meal. We have enjoyed this place for many years. The food is usually good and they have some inventive dinner specials. Choices run from typical Greek fair - Soulvaki etc.. to more creative dishes. Breakfast is good. Crepe's are served on the weekends. The coffee could use some work. Excellent service and some nice outdoor seating overlooking the Elmwood strip. Tastefully decorated, a nice feel. The owner could could be a bit more pleasant, but the staff makes up for him.

Pano’s is a run of the mill Greek Dinner. The food is not bad, but not that great either. The meats are overly tenderized; the Beef Soulvaki is particularly loaded with them. Some breakfast items are OK, but lack any real invention. The patio is nice. In many ways this is a destination spot for people from the suburbs when they come to Elmwood Avenue, which makes it less than attractive to those of us living in the city. The owner’s recent attempts to tare down the beautiful and historic Atwater House next door for expansion and parking has lead to a boycott by many in the neighborhood.
