Quiet Vet, but Good Practice 6/13/2006

My husband and I are graced with a wonderful basset hound. She is lazy, intelligent, and has this annoying health problem involing her rear that requires veterinary assistance every two months. Ok, now that I have you appropriately grossed out, on to the talents of my vet: Terrance Ochterski. I was referred to him by a good friend, and even though I live pretty far out of the Maple Heights area now, I still go back to him because he is thorough, is WONDERFUL with my dog, and most importantly, is reasonably priced. His office manner may put you off a bit. He is a bit quiet, and seems to focus more on your pet than you. He talks to you, and will explain very clearly any questions you may have. He will also not hesitate to tell you if you need to change something in relation to your pet. For instance, my dog was about 5 pounds overweight last year, and he quickly told me she had to lose it. The receptionists are great too. Alice in particular helps out anytime I call, and knows me on a first name basis now. They are always able to squeeze me in, and take time to always greet Norma (my dog) each time we get there. Pricing is great. A typical office visit is no more than $35, and my annual shot visit runs no more than $65. He is a full service vet, too, and services include dental cleaning and kennel service. If you live in the Maple Heights area, or are in need of a great vet that really understands your pets, I recommend this one. You will not regret the choice. more
