One of the most amazing experiences you can give your children--live theater that speaks directly to them. For over forty years,the Paper Bag players have been taking the stuff of everyday life and turning into magical theater for 3-8 year olds. Always creative and never preachy--a wonderful and real New York institution. Very hard to describe--but unforgettable theater.

OK, I know this is a dealership (which means expensive for service) and in Manhattan (which means expensive for everything) but this place is just nuts. They will overcharge you outrageously and then lose your car for the rest of the afternoon. You'd be better off buying a new car elsewhere than letting these people rotate your tires.

MUCH larger than you can imagine, the prices are good and the chances of stumbling on a real find are very good. A few warnings--avoid weekends and any day when the outside temperature is over 70 degrees (the inside will be much hotter).

It's the little things here that add up--slightly cleaner, slightly friendlier, and just a bit more care taken with the customer. You'll never leave here with bubbles under the polish, or any of the other little annoyances. The staff also seem less rushed. A worthy place.

All of the regular religious and holiday items are here, as well as a decent music and dvd selection. But it's books, thousands of them falling off the walls, that are most impressive here.

Lincoln Plaza Cinemas is the most reliable art cinema in NY. On any given day, there are at least two films worth seeing playing there. SO although the seats are far from the most comfortable, and the prices are, like everywhere else, too high, the Lincoln Plaza shows superb films consistently. The popcorn and refreshments are modest, but much more reasonably priced than most establishments.

A little effort could make this place a big success--a lot of people outside the immediate area remain unaware of it. Good matinee prices.

Noone does a better job getting new academic book and discounting old ones. The first and only place to go for scholarly books in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
