Hummus, as served in most "middle eastern" restaurants in Manhattan, is awful. One of the very few exceptions is this Israeli hole in the wall in the East Village. Real hummus experts will tell you that only the Lebanese and Israelis can make this stuff right, and the latter variety is rendered with perfect authenticty here.
