Without question the best yarn store in the south end, Pastimes will lure you in with their lovely displays of all sorts of yarn. Focusing on both knitting and crochet, the staff can help you turn that jumble of stitches on your needles to a piece of perfection. Marketing gurus, this is the only full-color class catalog I've seen at a local knitting shop. It's certainly worth a visit.
