The store is large but cozy, and the pace is gentler than you'll find at the big chains. Look for the fireplace beneath the painting of Reynolds Price. There's a vast array of fiction and biographies, with an emphasis on local and regional writers. Mysteries, books on film, history, gay and lesbian titles are also well-stocked.
