This store offers a little bit of everything and carries only the finest merchandise. Among the highlights are that they carry a large selection of Vera Bradley handbags, Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries and Filofax accessories. There is also a great collection of jewelry, much of it semi-precious and silver and handcrafted. The selection of leather goods and luggage is also very fine. There are many items for the home, for both decorating and serving food. It is the perfect place to find a special gift for someone and they are experts at wedding presents. The staff is professional, just as salespeople were decades ago.

Not quite the biggest art museum in the world anymore, the Met still holds so many riches that it is not only impossible to see them all in one day, you should not even attempt to see it all in a week. The Met is best experienced piecemeal, department by department, and with a clear plan going in of what you want to see. The selection is overwhelming and that makes it imperative to know exactly what you want to do.
This advice might seem impractical to the casual tourist, who is only in town for a short time, but they might take note of the fact that as far as art goes, it is better to enjoy fewer things fully, than to rush through many just to say "I did it".

Who would have thought you would be able to bowl in the middle of Manhattan? Welcome to Bowlmor Games, a swanky bowling place that is nothing like the bowling alleys you would find in the suburbs. This place is hot with celebrities and is frequently booked for private parties. It is conveniently located just south of Union Square so it is easy to reach on the subway from just about anywhere in New York City. It is expensive though, $5 to rent shoes and about $8 a person a game. Monday late nights are especially fun with glow in the dark bowling balls and a DJ.

Much more than a museum, the Getty is probably California’s best all-around arts center. Located high above the freeway in the Santa Monica hills, the incredibly original architecture, itself alone worth a visit, cannot be experienced unless one actually takes on the ascent. The different collections of the center are incredible, and the $7 parking fee (the center itself is free), is a veritable bargain.
Thankfully, the Getty dropped its policy to require parking reservations and parking is now on an availability basis.

Yale's only museum dedicated to science rather than art offers a great display of artifacts than try to relate to the casual visitor the way nature was formed. It houses an impressive number of collections, of which I was most interested in the meteorites and the historical scientific instruments. In addition, the museum regularly puts up temporary exhibitions to complement the permanent collections.
For anybody interested in science and scientific history, this museum is a must-see.

For centuries, European Jews enjoyed literature and drama in one of the most expressive languages on both continents: Yiddish. When they came to America, they brought with them their books, their stories and their culture, often only captured in the language of books. This delightful center pays homage to the history, tradition and incredible wealth of culture and art that was told in the Yiddish language, and that existed in a universe almost parallel to the English one. On display are books, films, artifacts and presses from an era was Yiddish was the first language of many Jewish immigrants, an era that has now largely disappeared.

Years of experience have made Dr. Patrick Cardinale the best choice as far as dentists in Utica are concerned. He is friendly and makes his patients feel at ease in the dental chair. He is also an expert dentist, knowing exactly what he should and can do, and when to refer a patient to one of his specialty colleagues. He is always as gentle as possible in his work, making sure that the patients feel as much at ease as the procedure allows. His practice runs on schedule and there is hardly ever any need to wait if you come to the appointment on time. His office is clean and his staff professional.

When you drive up to the Crazy Cajun, you would think that you have really been transported from Houston into a Louisiana swamp. The place is namely housed in a wooden shack of exactly the right style to fool you at night. Then, if you think the name of the restaurant and the location are crazy, wait till you see the owner. It is after him that the place is named, and Mr. Cajun still likes to keep his customers happy by running around the restaurant and sitting down at various tables, dressed in one of his incredibly loud shirts. The food is typical bayou, with the emphasis on crawfish, spiced with a unique blend of spices. Another huge benefit of the place is that when you get thirsty from all the salt in the food, you can order one of the very well chosen local Texan or Louisiana beers.
