The Buckminster has somewhat of a reputation, and mostly, it lives up to it. My wife and I checked in late at night, and were given a room overlooking the Mass Pike. Needless to say, sleep was not an option with this arrangement, so we asked for a room change. The staff, while very friendly, scrambled to find another room for us, but eventually, they did. The hotel seems to live in a perpetual state of dust, a condition exacerbated during our stay by the ongoing construction. The air conditioning, however, worked flawlessly.
"Breakfast" can be eaten at the mini restaurant that is on the premises, but I'd suggest a trip to the bagel shop instead.
On the other hand, this hotel is certainly more affordable than other nearby options and is a one-minute walk away from Fenway Park, as well as very close to the Boston University campus. I guess if you don't mind the dust and the shady security, it is a good hotel for the price...

This luxurious hotel really prides itself on the quality of service they provide to their guest. And rightfully so, as they will try to make sure that your stay is comfortable even if they have to go the extra mile. The staff is ultra-pleasant and the concierge service simply fantastic. While most of the restaurant recommendations include restaurants from the nearby Copley Square area, this has the oft-forgotten benefit that one can actually walk to the chosen place for eating. This, with Boston's infamous traffic and parking reputation, is an invaluable plus. Another benefit is that the T stop is right in the hotel itself.
Just as with other hotels with great location in downtown Boston, the parking is what it is here.

The surprising thing about Hull's Art Supply and Framing is that the place does not cater mainly to the students of the nearby university. The majority of its customers are people from the community. Their selection of art supplies is very good, and you will be able to find anything you might need there. The place is known as the best framing specialist in the wide New Haven area and will frame practically everything you might think of throwing at them.

The RV & E Bike store in Fairport is the best place to buy any bike or skate equipment in the Southeast Rochester area. The store is run by people who love and know all about bike and skates. It even offers cross-country skis in the winter. The selection is naturally geared towards people of the same love for the sports, and thus includes high quality merchandise. The great thing about the store, however, is the fact that the staff is always ready and able to give great advice and help with your selection, which in itself is worth the little extra you might have to pay over mass discount retailers.

For the Health of It is a place that joins together several massage therapists, and even a hypnotist. It is located in the Village of Fairport, with easy access to parking either at Packetts Landing or across the street, at the big village parking lot. The place itself is clean and neat, and their policy of making appointments means that you will not have to wait there long. The rooms are clean, and the massage therapists are very good. My favorite is Melissa Miliner. They mostly specialize in relaxation and pain relieving massages, and you might want to confer with the place as to who would be the therapist with the style best suited to your needs.

In Rochester, competition among car dealership is intense. Dorschel seems to hold the market in Buick and Toyota vehicles, though, in their well-run West Henrietta Road location. The sales people are knowledgeable and helpful, and above all, respect that the customer may know a thing or two about cars, as well. I was impressed that they did not try to pull the wool over my eyes.
The location usually has a lot of cars on the lot, so the selection is good. Once the sale is done, the staff is equally helpful with the paperwork.

On Wooster Street in New Haven, two pizzerias have been competing for ages. My personal favorite among the two, and some of the best pizza that I have tasted in this country, is Pepe's. The dough is crusty and thin, very east-coast stye, and the toppings are of the highest quality. The sauce is spread thinly, as are the toppings, so that each ingredient is able to develop its full flavor. The end result is quite simply wonderful.

The only problem that this delightful corner ice parlor and pizzeria in Staten Island has is posed by your waistline. It's just too good. The selection of different flavors of ices is overwhelming and can easily lead to confusion, especially as all the flavors seem incredible. In addition, the place makes near-to-perfect pizza, with the specialty being Chicago style and my own personal favorite, cheese crust white pizza. And here we come back to the waistline problem.

Having had root canals done in the past, I was amazed by how much better Dr. Stein is in his work than the other endodontists I have had before. He is not only a highly accomplished professional, who can operate on difficult teeth, he is also an incredibly nice man. His manners make his patients feel comfortable in the face of even the toughest operations and he always makes absolutely certain that his patients understand each part of the procedure, eliminating in advance as much of their fear and discomfort as possible.
Dr. Stein is helped by an efficient and welcoming staff.

The Center Barber Shop in the New Hartford mall is all about the decor. The chairs, the walls and even the mirrors seem to stem from a time when most men did go to barbers on a regular basis. However, the quality of the service is unfortunately not on the level of those times. The barber that was cutting my hair was only familiar with three basic styles and when my head was done, I was stuck with a military cut. The result was not too good.
