The City in a nutshell

Friday, August 19, 2005
This museum is housed in a masterpiece of a building on the northern end of the Museum Mile. It offers some great exhibitions on the history of the city of New York. The most notable for me was the exhibition on the history of the city's legendary relationship with the theater. The exhibition even tries to trace the origin of the MacBeth curse to riots on Broadway. Furthermore, the museum sometimes presents incredible photographic shows, which are by themselves a good enough reason to make the train journey uptown.
