Giant Eagle Victorian Village Has Giant Problems 9/29/2005

Everytime I shop at this grocery, I continue to be disappointed. Sadly, it is the closest grocery to the Short North area in which I live, and if they don't carry something that I need suddenly at UDF, then I am forced to shop at Giant Eagle. Examples of some of the problems I have had there over the last three months are: no carts available except in the parking lot, while the manager outside with a lit cigarette watches me go fetch my own cart worms in the tomatoes on display by the front entrance no courtesy card at each cashier to swipe for the sale items prices...you have to fill out a form so the cashier can then take it to the customer service counter for approval while you and the line in back of you wait for the cashier to return to finish checking your order out high prices! poor selection! rare opportunities to ask a customer service attendant to help you locate an item double charged for items...this has happened twice now...so make sure you check your receipt The list goes on...fortunately I am looking forward to the Whole Foods that is rumored to be setting up shop in the Arena District in the future. more
