local produce

Moving across Sixth Avenue from the west side to the east and expanding to fill the vacuum left by the departure of famed neighbor and competitor Balducci's, Jefferson Market has come into it's own. Not that it had anything to prove, being a neighborhood staple for more than 75 years, in a neighborhood which pride's itself on knowing from fresh. The selection of fresh produce, meats and fish is unsurpassed and the cheeses and prepared salads make for a simple meal for city dwellers to busy to cook.
