Fronting an entire block on ninth avenue between 33rd and 34th street this is photographer's heaven. Digi or film, new or used you'll find everything you could possibly need to be the photographer you know you can be. The staff is helpful if distracted and the system is convoluted and confusing - in order to purchase anything you must have a sales person print out a receipt, then go to a cashier to pay, then pick it up at a third station but the prices are the best in town and somehow the system works. That explains the line of people waiting for the place to open.
Be aware that B&H observes all Jewish holy days and is closed from midday Friday through Saturday and opens on Sunday.
