The selection of fabrics is great, the prices are quite good, if you are used to paying retail. And they do have a good bargain room. Make sure to check this before you spend the big bucks, sometimes the same fabric is in here because they have an overstock. It's usually 50% off. They rarely have sales though.

This store is super in the fact that it's big. Really big. They do have great selection, and very good sales, but it can be overwhelming. They have reasonable to ridiculous prices, but it's not the boutique furniture that some places have. The salespeople were friendly without being obnoxious and tried very hard to find a match to a piece that was no longer manufactured for me. I would recommend shopping there even though I could not find what I needed.

Always under renovation too, unfortunatly it has to happen to keep the park great. There are summer movie festivals, called screen on the green and they're free and a blast. Great place to walk the dog, run, roller blad or skateboard. Small lake, tennis courts and lawns to lay out on. Restaurants around the perimeter

Costs about $13 to enjoy yourself for a couple of hours. Not a place for kids at night but they do have special saturday morning performances just for the little ones. It's a fun funky atmosphere. Very good botanical garden attached to Piedmont Park. They have several exhibits a year that are interesting to both kids and adults. Last year they had a Chihuly exhibit that was gorgeously entwined with the garden. There is a separate garden just for children to play in that has a theatre, a water fountain and a tree house. This is great for parents to get a yearly pass to if they stay at home with the kids and look for places to spend the day.

I belonged to this Gym for a couple of years when I worked downtown and I loved it. They really have great facilities with a wonderful view of the city from atop the Peachtree Center parking garage. The equipment is well maintained, the locker rooms were always clean. The pool was a favorite of mine because for some reason it was always deserted. They also have trainers available if you want them. Though I believe a few sessions may be included with your membership, though you'd have to check.

Leave your $7 under the door of the clubhouse and play along. I believe there is a discount for Atlanta residents. It's a fun, casual place, perfect for kids or anyone at all to learn a bit.

The putting green is actual grass. Anyone who lives in the 30317 area code gets a discount. Plenty of lessons for women, children, and I suppose men too.

Spa Sydell is a beautiful place. The staff was courteous and all beautiful people. I have no idea why, but I left there feeling just a bit worse about myself. They were all very nice and lovely, but still I felt like I needed to pretty much double my income before I would really be welcome. The design is beautiful and the products are of course delightfully smelling, the massuse was great, maybe you just have to be a certain type to relax enough there. I would probably buy someone a gift certificate for a pregnancy massage etc., but I am not sure I would go back.

This store specializes in antiques from the last century, they have a large selection of Heywood Wakefield, some pieces with original finishes, but most have been stripped with a new clear coat. They look terrific and are sturdy workhorse pieces, but will not match an original pieces.
The store also has a few pieces by some of the old great designers like Wegner and Eames.
