Like everyone else, I find myself buying more books online these days. But dropping in on a place like Davis-Kidd just makes shopping for a book such a more personal experience. As soon as you enter the door, you can smell the coffee brewing in the cafe. Books are well-organized, and there is a terrific children's section. Bargain books are often placed outside with easily visible price tags. If you need a last minute gift, you can't go wrong with Davis-Kidd.
