this place has a lot of selection and a lot of food to choose from. sometimes i like to go in just to see what else i can buy to cook. the location is pretty good too and since they've moved to the new location, a lot of other businesses have opened up around them, making the area more of a place to hang out.

i've been here a few times for their lunch special which is a buffet for $8 or so. i've also come for a dinner and both times, the food was amazingly good. everything was perfect and the atmosphere is cozy. it is very homely and kinda dark but it's kinda romantic at the same time.

i'm usually really picky about my japanese food but this place is really good. the sushi is good, the rice is good and all the plates (though obviously fake) are very much like what you'd get at an upscale place. being the medical center makes it convenient to run down, grab something to eat, and run back up. if you're in the area for a doctor's visit or something, i'd suggest you come here.

the health professions high school in houston was named in honor of michael debakey, the famous vascular surgeon that revolutionized the medical field. it attempts to prepare students for a career in medicine as early as high school. in my opinion, high school students are too young and naive to know of the issues involved in health care and the program, while having good intentions does not adequately prepare its students.

this school is located in alief, tx, which used to be a great school district but as of late the property value has gone down and so has the quality of the schools. kerr is a selective school and attracts the best and the brightest in alief. its curriculum is a little odd because the students are given the freedom to complete their work when it is necessary. there are few due dates and it is fosters independent study.
